His last line suggest he thinks we will go the way of Pompey dave. See my earlier post, that is almost disrespecting a man who has become a multi millionaire and billionaire from nothing. We are in safe hands, that's is all I meant dave.

In fairness to likes of weare and jeffro, recent events on and off have shown that with old owners and squad we had for 1st game....we'd be down by christmas.

It's a valid point, If just staying up pays for it why are villa everton Blackburn Bolton and the likes in financial difficulty?

Yet another thread on this subject. As I said last week, and earlier today...Fernandes isn't fronting this alone. £900m consortium, plus the Mittal's wealth should be more than enough to take care of matters.

I still don't see us spending £8-9m on a single transfer, as sone think we will, but we can easily attract a decent calibre of player for a reasonable price.
              Your mum would love me...

They have 20 players earning 50k plus we will have 5. Anyway like u say not many clubs will make a profit but going to blackburn will set you back about 15 quid, it will cost u 50 quid at loftus rd for me.

Oh and I am happy with that price because we are improving the squad.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Of course were all concerned but don't see the reason to bring up posssble negative things that might on day happen. Trust in Fernandes and Bhattia.

I honestly trust bhatia 100% and fernandes is gaining my trust quickly! As the signings are flowing through the door it literally just made me stop and think! jesus!

If it was just me I would hold my hands up, but reality is 3 or 4 of us found it came across very negative mate.

The highlighted piece you've written can easily be applied to Mandaric, Gaydamak, Rokke, Olsen, Richmond, Gibson, Goldberg, Jordan and no doubt many other individual made men who got their fingers alarmingly burned.

Gianni said we were "sailing in safe waters" - fans said that Briatore and Ecclestone were "the real thing" too. I can understand ANYONE who wants reassurance. We've been bitten badly before. Trust but verify.

Spot on mate. Totally agree. Good word, consistency.

Less than 2 weeks ago, someone was telling us that Fernandes was a chancer and full of hot air.

Less than a week ago, someone was telling us that Barton was using us to get a move to a bigger club.

                                Glad he was consistently wrong.
