some people making themselves look very silly on this thread

anyhoo, on topic, i dont think you're a true fan if you switch your support to another team. ive been rangers through and through since i was 6, when we beat spurs 4-1 at loftus road in 1992. never looked back, good times or bad.

Why would I want to support anyone else?
I went to war over my club at school in the 70's, on the terraces and in the towns thru the 80s and into the 90s. I follow my club over land and sea and have an allegiance to my club. I will be QPR til I die - end of.

I wonder how these conversations go...

CHILD: Dad, I've decided I'm going to support Man Utd.

DAD: You can't do that, son. Your Great Grandad was a Ranger, your Grandad was a Ranger and I'm a Ranger. It's in our blood. You have to be a Ranger. It's the law of the family. If not, you have to pack your bags.

CHILD: Bit harsh. I'm only 6.

DAD: Them the rules. Support Rangers. leave or I have to kill you.

CHILD: But Man Utd have Beckham and Cantona and QPR have... Karl Ready. WTF?

MUM: Always listen to your dad, son.

And so follows 70 years of tantrums, ridicule and a life of abject misery.

            Frankly NO!
The only team I ever watch live besides Rangers is Charlton but that's only because I have a vested interest.
But in terms of support, only ever Rangers and I can count on two hands the games I've missed over the years.

              This is brilliant.

I'm pulling up an armchair and cracking open a tin. Keep it up. Funnier than "Not Going Out" (not hard I know, but you get the jist).

Not going out is very funny and I too am a big lee mack fan however, I find your post disrespectful nodge and u r trying 2 play the 'I'm 2 good for this messageboard' card. Apart from jimmy u should show some respect 2 decent posters.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

No, absolutely not! your allegiance is to one and one alone. You could watch other teams play but never support them.

Women can change because they don't see football as a loyalty. I think a man can dictate who his misses supports.
