I know at least 6 Watford fans who were QPR fans in 75/76 but soon changed in 78/79 when Watford suddenly came on the scene.......need you say anymore ! Could never understand it and never will .......lets hope Dyche takes them back where they belong !

In the 80's and early 90's i used to go home & away with a group of mates and out of the blue one of them comes out with "i wont be coming to games with you guys anymore" obviously we were stunned but not as much as when he told us the reason. "Im going to go to Chelski in future with my work mates" hense he hasnt been contacted or spoken to for 18 years.

Never had that. My dad is a QPR fan and I was from a young age
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I converted a chelsea fan the season before last, the beginning of the warnock era. Was quite proud of that. Also where did ha9's thread go? The one about wormholt estate. Would have been interesting to see how that panned out.

Good thread. I have been rangers all my life, never even looked else where. When I was at school there was a lot of mainly Asian lads who I took to Qpr and converted them from Liverpool.
It was difficult to do that with the other fans especially of London clubs, spurs wouldn't budge, west ham were very loyal, for some reason the most successful team Arsenal, I managed to get them to come a few games but they soon reverted back.
                  Strange but true.

We have had several complaints now, about threads turning into petty arguments. Whilst I can sympathise with this view, I do so hope that this thread can remain as it is absolute comedy gold. Priceless.

In one single thread we have been treated to :

Eastcote displaying behaviour that will shortly get him some points if it continues, despite having a great shot at not biting.

WeAre approaching a second hissy fit in as many weeks, with this one looking set to surpass even the previous one.

W12 betraying his usual aggressive nature and being very funny in the nicest possible way, which I must admit to finding hilarious.

Poor old Godfather being threatened with reading material and reacting with great hilarity. I only hope I get to see a copy.

If only some of you were down here on Sunday, I'm positive you would have stood a great chance of winning something.

Born with the Blue and White hoops coursing through my veins and will stay that way until I draw my last breath.

[QUOTE=QPRacademy;638393]Was and always will be QPR, it's the hoops, the name Queens Park Rangers and the way we play the quick, passing game.

Chelsea had a bad rep then (thats changed loads in past 15 years), so if I was a glory hunter I would have jumped to Chelsea

had a soft spot for the Dons because of their crazy gang, we are a team thing. Good to see them back in the league (ok they play hoof ball but heh...).[/QUO

Mate even if i was a glory hunter , being a rangers fan i could never switch ?support Chelsea

Once an R always an R , good times and bad

as you say i have stayed away from the in fighting apart from a little light hearted banter with weare i dont actually see why im being pulled up
Nothing to do with banter or WeAre. Very much to do with the subject we spoke about the other day. Just don't want to see mention of it again.

Stupid question!! Your team is a part of you and who you are...not a fashion accessory or trend. My 12 year old son sees QPR as a part of who he is and that is the way it should be.

Swapped about as a young kid from Leeds, Spurs to West Ham. Been a Ranger since I was 8. Doesn't make me any less of a Ranger.

Really think it depends on what age you are when you convert. Young kids will always follow a winning team or ones with better players and swap about. Comes a time when you have to nail down your allegiance and stick to it. Teenagers and adults swapping is unacceptable IMO. Trying to apply the same logic to a 6 year old is a different matter.
