First I have heard of that, who was interested in him?

Either way, the principal remains the same. He is better than this level...

I'm genuinely shocked that this hasn't been mentioned before.

To think that we fought off competition from West Ham and a good Spanish club (where Taarabt has always stated he wants to play) in amongst a few other "bigger" clubs... truly shocked.

The original point still stands though, just because Ledesma may not have risen to the top in Italy is no reflection on him as a player. Sometimes players click at one club and not at others.

I will welcome him back if Warnock feels he can do a job.

Adel excepted, we lack creative players (although Buz and Ali both have their moments); if NW can extract the best from Ledesma, as he has with Taarabt, we could be onto a winner.

Plus, it'd enable me to wear my signed Ledesma t-shirt again!
With all respect,Vaagan Moen is also a creative player.
Having said said that I would like us to get Ledesma back very much indeed.
          Interesting young player.

Because a club registers an interest, doesn't mean a deal is ever in the offing.

West Ham couldn't make guarantees on contract release and sell ons. Zaragoza and St Etienne simply couldn't get the finance together.

How about looking at your sentence just substituting a few names to see what the reaction would have been......

just because Andy Frampton may not have risen to the top in England is no reflection on him as a player. Sometimes players click at one club and not at others.

Of course its a reflection of those professionals as players. If it wasn't everyone would be at Milan or Madrid!

So you mean to tell me that every player acheives their full potential at every club they play for?

Of course a few slip through the net... How on earth did Hooper get turned down for Southend?!?!?! (Correct me if I am wrong on that).

He could have vanished off into the conference had he not had a good enough attitude, now he is playing for Celtic.

Warnock had nurtured Taarabt into the best player in the league (IMO). Who is to say he can't turn around Ledesma's career?

Seriously you don't believe that do you?

Ledesma is no where near to having the potential that Taraabt has.

You really shouldn't be using Tarbs as an example. Yes warnock has improved Tarbs as a player but he had all the ability before that. Tarbs is also a big stong lad whereas Leds is a complete runt. (I hope the word 'runt' on its own is ok). He doesn't even have pace. We have improved greatly since the days of Ledesma, I also remember Rowlands looking like our best player before he got injured. I'd rather give Rowlands a 2nd chance than Ledesma who squeaks like a girl when tackled hard, and I have heard it.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

If we were to pay to bring him here then it would be a no no, it's a deal till the end of season with no risk, if Warnock feels he could do with Ledesma then I don't see why it should bother us. He will take a look and if he likes what he see's then I guess he'll sign, if not then goodbye.

I think he has something to offer/prove.

3/4 month loan with an option to buy after would do......warnock knows what he's at.

Sorry, I clearly didn't word that as well as I could have done.

Ledesma has nowhere near the amount of ability that Taarabt has - I think VERY few players do.

But I do truly believe that Warnock could help develop Ledesma into a very good player (not Taarabt standard, but a good player) if he saw the potential.

An in-form Ledesma is quite capable of helping our promotion push without question. The quality is there, it's just about tapping into it correctly.

I would have Ledesma over Rowlands anyday

As I have said on this and another ledesma thread, I would welcome him with open arms. Our squads looking very small and he could freshen the place up a bit.
