3 easy points in the end, however we struggled at times against a really poor Wednesday team, which is their predicament is hardly surprising. Win came at a cost with Burrell, Varane and Poku all limping off and not looking too good.
2 excellent finishers from Kolli and overall the win was just what we needed.

Again I will mention the pitch which is truly embarrassing. At times was like watching a episode of casualty, players down injured all over the place.

Strange game we were all over the place at times .
At 1-0 if Lowe had picked out his fellow striker it was a different score , they then could of had another soon after.
Kolli took his chances well and deserves a start now , kone was in the he SW defenders pocket all game . Pity about the injuries , hope they get back for west ham ....back on track ..

Kolli must be averaging a goal every 10 minutes in his past 2 seasons. Be handy if he could keep himself fit and available for the next few months - would love to see him finally kick-on after a frustrating 18 months or so.

Not sure. He went off barely a minute into 2nd half. This would suggest he was injured cos we used one of three allowable substitution windows to hook him - given subs made at HT don't count towards the 3 allowance, you'd think we'd have taken him off then if it were tactical or he was carrying a knock. It would be madness if he was a bit injured at HT and was sent out for a few mins to see how he went, but I wouldn't rule anything out with us at the mo' given there seems to be widespread mind fog in the building...

The Atmosphere was terrible today - virtually no singing at times you could hear a pin drop so quiet - even the weds fans sat in silence.

the game reflected that we were so flat literally walking around - Madens on a sunday stroll to take corners.

We started time wasting after about 60 mins.

No sure where the energy has gone. The team that destroyed Leicester in 45 mins is nowhere to be seen.

3-0 is a good result but weds were so bad that with a bit bit more energy and application we might actually have a plus goal difference by now!

Scoreline flattered us somewhat. After Burrell went off our whole forward momentum seemed to go with him. Sheff Wed were a very poor team, but looked a better team than us for most of the second half. Pleased for Kolli, 2 great goals.

As others have mentioned our pitch is a disgrace and seems to be getting worse. Surely turning the sprinklers on at half time only exasperates the issue. I totally get it in May/August but on a freezing January day with no grass to begin with?

We got overrun in midfield second half , we need an extra man in there , lucky Kolli pulled out that excellent finish or we were surely going to concede.
I am starting to worry about our manager , not having a plan b and not making subs when we are under the cosh.
Some of our players are not up to championship football, Saito and Dembele both too weak and they lose possesion too often , Varane just so negative , always wants to turn back and pass easy option. I liked Kone first few games but since then he's gone backwards big time , does'nt even hold the ball up , the ball just kept bouncing off him in all directions , looks too heavy and clumsy , get him on a diet for ####s sake.
Maybe its time to change the system and do away with our little wingers . Go 5/3/2 or 3/5/2 bulk up the midfield and make us harder to beat , especially at West ham . Think West ham will put out a strong side and we will get hammered with just Madsen and one other in midfield.

Kolli is another Ravel, the kid clearly has talent and has an eye for goal. He can be a menace and seems adept at conjuring up moments that turn games.

But, there's a reason he's not starting and it's got to be down to attitude.

I don't see hil do much unless he's the centre of attention. Though credit he played a woeful cross field pass that led to a Wednesday break and he worked hard to recover the ball then.

Not sure, i'd love to see him kick on aswell as could be a cracking player but something is wrong.

JCS and Morrison both had an impressive pedigree yet turned up here.... it's a bit odd? BUT, now with my 20/20 hindsight I'd say nobody else wanted them as they were made of glass.

It's a bit worrying and leads to us over-using Cook.

I'm not sensing any urgency within the club to do much this transfer window so I suppose we'll just soldier on "as is". Might be worth chucking Tylon Smith in on Sunday to see if he's any good.

Is anyone else totally disillusioned with Kone?

I don’t see that he’s all that as a hold-up man, and it feels as though I see Burrell under more balls than him anyway. It should be the other way around. He also doesn’t press and seems to me to just jog the front line for large parts of the game, that or go over far too easily for a man of his stature and complain to the referee while the opposition take the ball up the pitch.

Delighted that Kolli took his moment yesterday. Hoping Burrell turns out to be ok and those two can be given a run up top together. I don’t think a dropping would do Kone any harm and competition is always good.

My view on Kone is that he's one of the key saleable assets and, as such, if he's fit he plays. The fact that he's being played in a way that doesn't really suit him appears to be neither here nor there. The fact that he's not really going to get much attention as a saleable asset if this carries on also doesn't appear to matter much. Who we play against doesn't seem to matter much. How the match is going doesn't seem to matter much. Just keep with Plan A.

Still, we're somehow managing to sit higher than our finances would indicate. It's difficult to know whether to laugh or punch yourself in the face.
