What's going on with all that HS2 Old Oak redevelopment? I recall fancy mock ups of a mini Hong Kong with lots of sleek sexy buildings and our new super stadium being amongst it.
If that project still has legs maybe there's still a chance we can slip into it?

We are rather a stick in the mud club in this respect.
Shame really as we ARE a big club with a well spread fan base. Should have moved years/decades ago but not even sure if we currently have any plan in place to do so. Indicates the extent of our ambitions I fear.

Had some business at Everton's Hill Dickinson stadium today and managed a bit of a snoop and explore... it's stunning: brilliant views, legroom, massive concourses, bars, lots of levels of hospitality - just a fantastically well-appointed stadium. Christ, makes our ground look like a relic - literally like comparing a 2-man tent to Buckingham Palace. They are already planning on extending it and adding a couple thousand more seats too.

We've got to do something or we will end up as a third tier football outpost. We could nick their model/plans and shave the back 25ish rows off and be left with a perfect 30,000 arena. I wandered around the outside and it'd easily fit on the site of West London/Linford Christie stadium I reckon.

I started taking my son to Rangers when he was about 7 and when we played away at Old Trafford in the cup when we took about 9000 fans about 97 or 98 ish as soon as we got in the ground we went in the toilets , he just said blimey this is unbelievable , he was so impressed with all the shiney red and white tiles with red devils on them after being used to the dirty bogs at Loftus rd. He was even more astounded when he walked up the stairs into the seats. The point i am making is Loftus rd has been a #### hole and outdated for over 30 years , yes i know it's got great transport links and a good atmosphere when we do well but the facilities , leg room , view etc are poor and we are being left behind financially. We desperately need to find a new ground , with a 30000 capacity , i'm certain our attendances would improve like all the other teams that got new stadiums over the last 20 years and therefore increasing revenues , also with good facilities maybe non matchdays as well.

I think its no longer on the agenda. The priority seems to becoming a self-financing club through buying and selling players, whilst maintaining championship status. If we can achieve this over the next 3-5 seasons then we become a low risk option for the Americans to come in and fund a new ground. I cant see any investor wanting to throw £300m at a stadium whilst we're losing £1m a month on the playing front. Im sure the new ground will happen, but we have to get our house in order first. One season in the prem and banking the cash will do nicely along the way.....

But if we become a L1 club in the future, it wont impact me and I'll still be turning up to watch games at HQ.

Daft thing is we go to WHU and take upwards of 10k fans and me and my son went on train to game with two mate both hammers fans and sometimes it takes them 90 mins to get out so leave games 10 mins early (fk that) as a fan they hate it there but acknowledge upon pk needed replacing but sold out for Olympic stadium

personally I can’t see us going anywhere in my lifetime at 56 and this might be controversial I hardly watch prem games it’s closed shop without it being advertised as that big clubs don’t want any ambition from smaller sides disrupting the league as soon as they gain some momentum like palace they lose best players, I fully expect the bees to be targeted next season. Then you get the debacle of var pain in the backside put in place to assist inept officials

If I'm buying a house with a big garden the owner might say "you could maybe do something down the bottom of garden" but it'd be miles better if the owner said "there's planning permission for a granny flat down there and I've secured access rights from the road behind too". In both scenarios there's buggerall actually in place but at least the latter option has some sort of progress and substance to it.

Currently any buyer we court would assume a new ground is a non-starter given how the current regime have given up and backed away from the notion entirely.

I have no idea where we're at with it all. As you say it all gone quiet. I know the club abandoned plans to redevelop the LC Stadium, but Project Big Ben may still be bubbling along behind the scenes? Perhaps a question to CN in the next fans forum?
