He's starting today for Orient in the FA Cup at home to Man City, good luck Charlie, hope you bang one in.

At least wIth QPR's appalling FA Cup form, there was never a danger of him being unavailable over concerns of him being cup tied!

Anyone that has played the game will tell you he's cack. Could never play beyond league 1 and has the turning circle of an oil tanker

Time to say goodbye and good luck. Hopefully he can secure contract at Orient. I had high hopes for him, not worked out with us.

Smyth signed for Orient upon his contract expiry with us. We resigned him 3 years later when his contract expired at Orient. Was never on loan there.

He's still only 23yrs but I doubt we'll renew him as he's similar to Kolli, but not as good. I dont remember him for having blistering pace or having an eye for goal.

Let him sign for a L1 club and if he continues to do well we could pick him up on a free in three years time when he'll be coming into his prime. A few seasons away from QPR didn't stop Smyth coming back and doing well.
Yep was going to quote the Smyth example - he was an average player at QPR - had a very successful loan at Leyton Orient, played lots, scored 1 in 4 or 5 games, won promotion, and came back to us and is now a first team regular. A great example of a successful loan spell for both clubs & player.

Yep I'd noticed he's scoring a fair few. Would like him to get a contract extension, no need to recall him at this moment though.

Good for him he has found his feet and is doing well.

However agree we have Kolli and Lloyd and at present Frey and Celar. As we play one up top couldn't see Kelman getting much of a look in.

Probably more a case of him finding his level

    started a topic Kelman

    Kelman

Banging in goals for Orient - that’s 12 he’s scored this season

    Should we recall him?

My view is that he isn’t quite good enough and it will restrict minutes for Kolli and Lloyd.

The other thing with him is that he’s contracted only till the end of the season so will be available on a free anyway
