I agree. It is very unlikely we were in for Aden Flint if he ended up picking Mansfield. Things are challenging, but not to the level we cannot match Mansfield's salary level and attractiveness.

I see from press reports today that Ainsworth wants to sign two new defenders. They had to be signed by 12 today to be ready for tomorrow. Nothing is announced by now so I suspect we did not reach that deadline. I expect it to be one central defender and one right back. I hope one is Steve Cook and I hope we have them in place asap.

Seeing various comments about Dunne I sense that the injury isn't as serious as originally thought. If it was a dislocated should (my guess), it should not take too long. He could be back in two to three weeks. However, I do not know anything more than everyone else, so this is just guesswork based on vague statements on Twitter by Dunne and vague comments by Ainsworth.
