I'm sure I remember a poster on here constantly slagging off a former player just about daily offering to drive him to the airport and any club in the northern hemisphere, you didn't take exception to that

He really isn't tbf, I'd be relieved to get our money back, done with him.
I'm sure we can do better

I agree and as I wrote yesterday it is better that he got rid of any rustiness in that game so that he is ready for the Fulham match on Saturday.

It would be fun on here come Saturday night if dykes comes off the bench to score the winner! He scored a cracker at their place when most of our lot looked like they belonged on Hackney marshes that day. People have short memories sometimes.

I know we all want dykes to score the winner , but can't see it happening

Then I stand corrected, the responsibility lies with the Scottish manager then, knowing he has been out long term and not playing, why call him up?

Nothing moreI'd lie than to see him get the winner from the bench or from the start, and to be honest i don't care who scores, just want to put it over on them

And totally agree with KevC 59 quote he shouldn't have been called up after being out for so long, probably the Jocks are desperate Then I stand corrected, the responsibility lies with the Scottish manager then, knowing he has been out long term and not playing, why call him up? Still think he's on his way though and deals been done?

Fact is, Dykes does have a bit of a reputation as a decent striker still. It's very much in our interest to have him back in the 1st XI and firing on all cylinders again in order to make a profit on him at some future point. We can't just let him "Peter out" and drift out of the club with a loan somewhere or worse still become a permanent sick-note who barely plays.

We should all get behind the lad for rest of the season.

I hope he plays and scores against Fulham in order to stop the criticism. I also agree that we should get behind him as we need to get back the Dykes of Spring 2021 to lift our game up. If he does well and Scotland qualify for the World Cup his value could rise again should the club want to cash in on him.
