All agree Conor seems a nice guy unafraid to hustle. Yet after a few seasons watching his inability and lack of confidence to score, or be properly positioned to play off Smith and others, how can Ollie (stubborn of course to the end) ever justify starting Conor over Smyth moving forward? Smyth has touch and drive; Conor is a first touch followed by a botched second. Smyth is unafraid to win the ball over a defender; can't remember the last time Conor got a ball past a defender. Smyth gives the team (and the fans) a shot of adrenalin every time he's on the pitch; Conor leaves us with the groaning displeasure of another inadequate performance. Smith and Smyth has a nice ring to it; play this combo and the balls will soon be ringing the bell in the back of opponents' nets.

Is there any reason to ever start Conor over Smyth? Any?

20 minute game changing subsitute appearances till the end of the season will do the lad the world of good as at 19 he cannot be the player we pin all our hopes on.Comment

Problem is, we started messing around last year and got dragged into a problem. Got a feeling he wants us to be safe before trying new things out.Comment

Dropping Washington is not messing about as he’s not delivering so taking him out for someone else is an effort to strengthenComment

In all honesty, is there any reason to start any of our forwards other than Smith?
Might as well play 4-5-1 with the lack of firepower we haveComment

Conor a no show when he came on Tanpa? Every ####er was a no show yesterday and young Smyth was played in 3 different positions by this joker in charge. If we are not careful we could ruin these younger players if this fellow stays in charge. Manning and Furlong have shown bits of potential but have gone backwards in the last few months under this bloke.Comment
