All players (some with a much bigger name than CW) have said how hard it is arriving in January at a new club, to hit the ground running and get going - We as fans should know, when you look at the likes of Samba, Yun, Ingram.

Without pulling up any trees in the second half of the season with us, he gets selected to go to the Euros by scouts and management with a lot more knowledge than yourself and your mate. He plays well and works hard in a limited team - he then arrives back late to a full on pre-season by a few weeks here, having to play catch up.

The lads head has probably been all over the place since he joined us with all these factors put together, so humour me and tell me in what world would you even think of selling someone who we bought 7 months ago, who's 24, made 17 appearances, is now a Northern Irish international, who hasn't had a full pre-season or full season under his belt since being here.

Funny how he can make excuses for some players, but not this one.

He got selected because of a lack of options, he started in the tournament because he was supposed to bring pace, which he didn't... I think that his chances to shine are going to be limited here because our style of play doesn't match his and I think our style in the long run is sustainable. Him not succeeding regularly here because he doesn't fit into our style means his value drops and in the end we lose him for nothing anyway. I don't think his finishing has been good enough in 8 months to play regularly and risk losing matches because our striker doesn't score the limited chances we create when we have another one who can create chances from different scenarios. I think that if we got an offer for him that was at least remotely profitable, we should take it. That's my opinion.

Does Kyle Lafferty get selected because of a lack of options as well then? A guy that coudln't get into the Norwich or Birmingham team. Or do you just mean, NI don't have a Wayne Rooney or such like? I'm struggling to see your point there...

Do you think 17 appearances in 7 months, many off the bench in games we've been struggling in, and all the factors I've listed above are enough to judge him on his finishing? I certainly don't.

You're the type of Rangers fan which needs to realise we are doing things differently now Nasser, we are in the game of buying cheap and young, and developing. We are not in the position of 3 years ago where we were buying to make instant impact - Even then, 7 months with us and many ulterior factors is harsh judgement.

This exactly, wont change his mind. Done the same with Ned, Polts (last season) and El Khayati. Regardless of performance they will never be criticized and same for CW, regardless of performance will never be praised.

Personally I think it's because his mate must of told him he makes good 'hooked' runs... Or to anyone else who's knows the game and it's terminologies, curved runs.

I think El Khayati is really on and off, but he does well as a sub and when he comes on as a sub, he's had a tendency to influence the game a little and start trying at least to create stuff. As I said, at one point last year Washington started and got subbed off in the 80th minute for El Khayati who ended up setting up the winning goal. That's the difference between them. Khayati has the ability to change the game. He's soft, he doesn't go in for 50 50's and when he loses the ball around the box, it's extremely irksome, but he does it enough through his own working that we create occasional chances from it that tend to pay off. Just watch the Sub appearances last season, watch the Swindon match where his work got us the chance for our first goal watch him play in general. Yes he's inconsistent as hell, but he at least does create chances of his own working, just like Polter creates chances and wins penalties through sheer determination.

Stats are very decieving in football hence why the money ball theory will never work. I think Brentford scraped it after 1 year.
