Nasser, think problem is your posts are too long. Concise and simple, that's what we need. I am firmly on the fence on Washington. El kayati is rubbish, light weight.

I try and get as much in as possible because I'd like to avoid these massive threads. Unfortunately, instead of letting opinions remain opinions, people want to ask questions and that's when it gets longed out. I type quite quickly so I end up just typing as I go along and before I know it, I've written an essay lol. If I give a summary, I'll get far too much disagreement from people who don't like my opinion and want me to think like them because, as I've said, everyone wants to hear their opinion in a different voice.Originally posted by James1979 View PostNasser, think problem is your posts are too long. Jane is right!! it's like your incapable of accepting others views or the thought of being wrong so you go hell and leather in an effort to convince and brain wash people to seeing things from your point of view.Originally posted by nasser95 View PostBecause that's not how I feel... but you keep thinking however you want, I'm not gonna change how you think and you're not going to get me to say something I fundamentally disagree with. It's not a dislike for Washington himself, yet people think that.

Concise summary of CW:
Not shown championship quality yet in my opinion, had enough time relative to the rest of the players fighting for that spot and didn't take the chances he's gotten."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. I'm pretty sure this is a hypocritical view in general. It's the whole "But you disagree with me and I won't accept that, so you're incapable of thinking how we think and therefore you must be wrong". We all see things differently, why can't you lot accept that I see things differently to how you do? It's not ignorance, it's not a lack of humility, I've accepted myself as wrong many many times on here, wrt Chery, Ramsey as manager, HR's season back in the prem. But you don't want to accept that someone can have a different view to you so you try to peer pressure him into thinking he's wrong just because it's not how you think. Not you in particular but the 5 or 6 people who have tried to call me out on this today.Originally posted by West Acton View PostJane is right!! it's like your incapable of accepting others views or the thought of being wrong so you go hell and leather in an effort to convince and brain wash people to seeing things from your point of view.

Nas, I tried to read your posts but got to page 8 and there must be 4 wAr & peace posts on Washington on that page alone. Summary of your posts would be he's quick but can't shoot, doesn't make intelligent runs and has had more than enough chances. About right? I don't think you have contradicted yourself but then I gave up at page 8. I think he probably needs a few more chances before we write him off.

I agree, good thing he didn't come to preston then haha. I always try and introduce mates and family to the R's through cup games, get them in as followers etc.Originally posted by 1973 ranger View PostI did chuckle at the bit about your mate loving the sport and the tactics side of the game nas. What exactly waa he hoping to see tactically last night? We had no tactics or plan against Preston!"What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. I can understand that, I think I've got less of a tolerance with regards to opportunities after the fact that Polter didn't get a starting opportunity till after he scored of the bench. I think that's how you earn your spot, you don't earn it through the hope that you'll succeed. If your not a guaranteed improvement on what was there before, you have to prove you are a difference maker of the bench. But that's my opinion and I get others who want to give him a chance, but I don't see him being good enough for those reasons you gave.Originally posted by James1979 View PostNas, I tried to read your posts but got to page 8 and there must be 4 wAr & peace posts on Washington on that page alone. As a man so intent on putting down my use of language, you sure do get the term wrong. Crooked run? Ok mate, firstly, I said Hooked Run. Secondly, if this is all you can try and find to put my statement into disrepute, you're really clutching. I call it hooking your run, someone can call it something else, like that matters. He enjoyed it, noticed as I said that Sandro didn't really want to engage in the game from open play early on and was a centre circle midfielder for most of it. Didn't see what perch offered, thought that Ariel would look better alongside someone more creative, felt our players didn't open up enough space until the last few minutes and didn't seem to want to do much running (understandable as it's a cup game)... the usual.Originally posted by 1973 ranger View PostSo what did your mate learn tactically last night then Nas? Crooked runs? Always thought they were known as bending a run or curved runs. And as a stat man think you will find any manager or pundit will use that term and not a crooked run."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. To be fair, Jimmy definitely knew but he needed to give sandro the game time and it worked thankfully, he needed to rest one of the centre backs and hence perch stayed and was kept content and as JFH said before the match, the most important part of this match was rotating.Originally posted by 1973 ranger View PostIf he came up with all that then get him to give Sir Les a bell as he seems more clued up than the fellow in the dug out.
I'd say from this side, only 4 of the players who started should start again in the next match: Ned (at RB), Hall, Bidwell, Shodipo, just for fitness and rotation purposes.
Bring back the regulars, put Yeni in at RM to give Kakay a rest (JFH said he was dead on energy at the end of that match) and to allow us to keep that width since we'll have two wingers who actually play on their strong side, bring Polter in and have him as the target man, Play Cousins and Luongo in the middle to start and phase in Ariel later in the game to see it out, Caulker needs to come back, Chery back to the middle, he changed the game when he came on.
If they can handle the intensity needed, that side should win comfortably."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value.
