I think you maybe waiting in vain Stan. He looked very average before he came here. In the Euros I thought NornIrn looked a lot more dangerous with the other guy up top.

I am in the give him a run in the team and he will do well corner. Dont want to write him off. I know hes been here a while now, but he has barely played 90 minutes and the odd 3 minutes here and there arent enough to base an opinion either way.

I'll stick with the fact that I've supported Polter from the start despite his limits initially and I still support him now, but I haven't seen anything to rate in CW that I'd expect from a player like him. From last season, to the Euros, to now, he's not looked good in any side we've played him in and that is very suspect to me.

Based on the fact he is bang average, at best.

27 league games for us without a single goal. Yes I know most of them games are from the bench, but still any striker worth his salt would have grabbed a couple by now.

Looking at his record it is also clear we bought him off the back of a purple patch, before Peterborough he scored 5 in 39 for Newport ffs.

He has been with us 8 months ffs hardly writing him off without any reason is it. You are very naive if you think Washington is suddenly going to become a Championship level player. He aint.

You're being too negative on Washington. I only watched the highlights on Player and it was evident that he looked the more likely to score. He was unlucky with that touch as he controlled the ball perfectly to let it run away from him. However, he did had a good shot that their goalkeeper saved well and another that was blocked. Give him a chance and be patient. He'll be alright.

I thought he looked lively when he came on yesterday and came closest to scoring for us. If we are looking to going up then neither of our strikers are good enough. Polter has got slightly better but still isn't a striker that is going to get us out of this division.
