problem is that Fer didn't cover himself in glory, Sandra is walking wounded and many would say Doughty was never going to get an extended run (for whatever reason).

Personally I don't rate the two who are left either. Gun to head I'd play Henry if we were more likely to be on the back foot, either way we're weak in that department.

edit: ML and Ale work well, not so sure about the former if Ale out.

I agree about Fer (who can only play number 10 role anyway imo anyway) & sandro but my point is seeing at the window just shut we could have brought adequate cover in the cm department. We all know Faurlin's injury and fitness record and if he plays 50% of the remaining games we will be lucky! Wonder if Gladwin could have played there sometimes? He's played with ML before obviously. Hall possibly but then it means changes at centre half...We should have brought someone in I think.

Well, we are trying to cut the wage bill drastically so it is harder nowadays for us to just go out and get another player when and if we need one.
At the moment it's not an issue or problem we need to worry about as all of our midfielders are fit - We can worry about it and moan about it if we end up having only one midfielder available... And even if that happens then I'm sure we could call back Doughty.

We like a moan about ifs and buts on this forum but at the moment things are looking promising so lets just go with it IMO.

You say Luongo could not get in the team - you are wrong her he sure could get into the team- he started all but one of the first 14 matches and at that time we were sitting in 12th spot
