Great post Stanley, really does a amaze me the way some fans think. We have sourced some fantastic players from the lower leagues over the years and I hope we will source many many more. Add these types to a couple of more experienced players and bingo you have a side going somewhere, as history has proved !

Wow this thread has taken a strange turn. For what its worth I have no problem with this signing. Jimmy knows him so will base it on that mainly. The double standards shown by some fans in terms of signings is laughable at times.

Christ on a bike, the negativity from some 'fans' on here is incredible. Based on your comments Hits, I doubt you would have given bricklayer Charlie Austin a chance before he became well known. And obviously Stan has rightly taken you to task above.
It seems to me some people are never satisfied, no matter what the club do, it's wrong. They moan if a player is too expensive, then moan if a player's too cheap. They moan if they're too old, then moan if they're too young. They moan if a player is a supposed mercenary, then moan if they're a lower league player on the up. Let's just celebrate a potentially very decent prospect at a great price, shall we? For once?
sorry mate but i dont celebrate signings, i celebrate wins. signing 1 or 2 league 1 players is fine but when you sign nearly a whole team of them in under a year then there is no other reason as to why we have only won 1 poxy game in the last 12.
