Would be sad t see him go as I think he could be a great player for us. Hasn't achieved his full potential but he hasn't been given the chance imo

You say he dribbles - in my book a dribble is running past opponents with the ball at your feet not just sticking your Rs in someone, turning them and knocking the ball off which is his main move. He does that very well as it happens.....when he's not attempting reckless lunges that could get him a red. And this shot of his " that we know from last season".......it might be nice to see it THIS season.
Who's attempted more passes of the two? Answer is Fer with 30 per game to Chery's 15.6. But even if we ignore that, who's played more key passes per game? Fer with 1.5 to Chery's 0.7. Again lets ignore that, Chery has one assist more than Fer and he played with Austin in front of him for most of his games. Fer has played most of the time without a striker in front of him (Matt Phillips was usually the striker). When Fer finally got a striker to play off of and a winger who liked to get into the box, he got two assists with ease.
But lets go to your point about defending and tackling. Now, Fer does foul 1.6 times per game compared to Chery's 1, but that's out of context, because if you look deeper, You'll see Fer attempts 2.4 tackles a game to Chery's 1.6. And guess who's made the fewest successful tackles per 90 minutes of any player we have? Tjaronn Chery. Add on to that the fact that Fer draws more than double the amount of fouls that Chery does, while being significantly better in the air, successfully beating a player more times per game than Chery and also attempting more and being TWO years younger and still people wonder why I believe Fer is a better player. This is Fer not doing as well as he should and he's still killing Chery in every way.
As much as I hope Chery does succeed, I will not lose sleep if he goes.

Nasser any chance of limiting your messages to less than 1000 words? I like your input at times but my eyes start to glaze over after the 20th line mate.

Ebola is worst than diphtheria. Both should be avoided. Fer tackle? Haha. Jump for the ball and miss it ? 15.7 times a game. Walk around aimlessly? 75 of 90 minutes.

I wont lie Nas I stopped reading ur posts on this thread once you stated " Fer is a unique mixture of power and finesse" which I found laughable.

Your statistics are good, and as I've said plenty of times I like them. But they need to be used as an AID to what you can see with your own eyes and knowledge of the game and not as a sole aid to judge a players ability.

Teams throughout the world used stat based recruitment, I'm no idiot, I know this. But teams also send scouts to watch and judge a players abilty on the pitch nit just a bunch of numbers scribbled on a peice of paper. Please bear this in mind when you write all these stats up to base your point as if we're all idiots.

And as I've said, I do go to every home game, I watch Fer and I see a talented player who's growing in confidence. I've also said I use stats to go over what I've seen at games before I review the footage on player the next day, just to make sure that these aren't moot stats.

I can tell you now though, that Fer will not run after every single player aimlessly like Chery does. Chery gets nothing accomplished doing that imo. Fer will close down the pass nearest to him, keeping the structure of the team intact and allowing him to get on the ball more often and spread it forward. Chery's chasing won't come up in the stats, and to many fans, him doing stuff like that where he just runs in triangles, wasting his energy while players just pass around him makes him seem like a harder worker than Fer. He most certainly is not.

On the ball, you see a player who has a very good touch and close control of the ball despite his size. That there is why I say he has a mixture of power and finesse. If you really focus on him, you'll see a player who knows exactly where everyone on the pitch is and where to play the ball, hence why his key pass rate is so high.

That is actually a good post, and fair enough I can't argue too much with it. I just see a lazy player who looks like he could be a world beater strolling through games not affecting them as If he's too good to be here. But it's all about opinions and that

I can understand how you see it. He has so much potential and could be top class at some point but he just needs to develop that confidence that he had towards the end of last season. I'm thinking that if there is no speculation around him, he will kill it in this division. We'll see though.

When we signed him I was actually over the moon, thought it was a real coup.... Thought he did ok last season and seemed to get injured just as he was hitting his peak. I thought he would be off in the summer and again was over the moon when he stayed thinking he would tear up the division but it just hasn't happened and he's in fact been pony this season. I get that he's been injured but its January and he's been poor the whole time.

I want a 25year old Shaun Derry back at Qpr, now there's a player that ate up the Championship like Fer should be doing, bloke was a free and I was gutted when we signed him thinking he was an over the hill nobody. How strange things work out eh?
