Agree mate how refreshing it is doing our business under the radar with out the self publicist leaking stories to his mates to boost his reputation and ego. Transfer window without candle wax hanging out his car window is blissOriginally posted by Greg1882 View PostCouple of days of rumours and then bang it's done . Really liking the way the club are operating not shouting about it and ####ing it up . Welcome to the Rs MattLast edited by West Acton; 22-01-2016, 10:52 PM.

“Alex has the shirt now but I want Matt to challenge him – and that is why we have signed him. Knowing him and his character, he won’t just be coming here to sit on the bench.Originally posted by HoopDoggyDogg View PostI think JFH has confirmed Green has gone by saying Smithies has the shirt at the moment.
“I want the pair of them to push each other to the extreme. That’s the healthiness I want around the whole club.
“We feel Matt will play at the highest level one day. We foresee a very bright future for him.
“He’s big, strong, level-headed, works hard and shows the right mentality. I think we have bought another good asset for the club.”

Green now obviously will either leave or sit on his ar$e for our own financial reasons. We had three keepers before in Green, Smithies and Lumley and now we have three again in Smithies, Ingram and Lumley. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Not as if we have Green and Cesar fighting for the same spot. Understandably they both would be upset if the weren't playing but it's up to them to raise their game like ANY individual in the squad to try and improve and win his place in the team. Win win in my eyes. Good luck Matt Ingram.

I think for me, the key difference is that Green and Cesar didn't feel they had to prove that they deserved the starting spot because of their successes. Now with these 3, all of them are going to push each other because they have nothing to sit on in terms of historical records.Originally posted by qprjeff1882 View PostGreen now obviously will either leave or sit on his ar$e for our own financial reasons. That's kind of what i was getting at. Also that neither Green or Cesar would have been happy to sign for a club knowing they would be 2nd choice given their careers up to that point. And i believe that Green was signed and told he would be number one and then also Cesar was probably told the same thing when he signed. Whereas Smithies and Ingram will for me be on level peggings and will both have the chance to prove themselves with everything to gain by upping their effort and form. unlike having a clear number one and two who pretty much know their ranking as it was a few weeks ago. Can only be good for the club.Originally posted by nasser95 View PostI think for me, the key difference is that Green and Cesar didn't feel they had to prove that they deserved the starting spot because of their successes. Exactly mate. Starting a true rangers era now I think. When was the last time our average age of keepers was this low as well. Ignoring Green as he's not gonna play for us again, we have a 25 year old, 22 year old and 20 year old as our 3 keepers. Mightily impressive IMO to have an average age of 22.3 for keepers of all things.Originally posted by qprjeff1882 View PostThat's kind of what i was getting at.
