Not just performances..look at the reaction because someone has said they don't rate him. As I said in my previous post, he hasn't done nothing since the year we won the league, injured or not it's always he getting match fit, oh no, he is injured again. Why are we still hanging on to him? If he wasn't injured and he is as good as everyone says he is, do you think he will hang around if someone came in for him because he loves the club.. Turn it in.

Again, not saying he is a bad player but come 3 ACL's he won't ever be the same.

Very odd thread. Yes, Ale is liked by the fans (me included) but I fail to see this "God like status" talked about? Hardly thread after thread started in his honour.

He obviously isn't the player he once was, after 3 ACLs that is hardly surprising. It's pretty incredible he si still playing at all after such injuries tbh, massively admire his attitude and determination.

That said though, he is hardly a carthorse now, I mean ffs he was (by all accounts) our best player vs Hull! Terrible game vs Fulham (along wit every single other player so not saying much). Really don't think he warrants a thread started to dig him out, he is far from our worst player. Christ, he isn't even anywhere near our worst CM, let alone player.

Still has enough about him to be in & around the 1st team for sure - would have him above Henry & Toszer all day long.

If barton could do the simple things that ale does so well he would be playing in the top flight every season. Good player back in the day but finished imo.

I don't mind Faulin he's had some good games but I don't remember infinitely better players like Bardsley and Wilson not get the same fans reaction.. That's all..
