When we did an end of season dinner for the awards at the hilton in edgware road, I was lucky enough to be sat at the table right next to Ale's. Amongst speaking to other players who I'd met throughout the year and getting a couple of minutes to speak to Adel, probably the best part of the evening for me was having a good chat with Ale for about 10 to 15 minutes. One of the nicest people I have met and showed a real passion for the club. I always thought he was a good player but it took rewatching some champ football from that year and the football in the first half of the prem the following season before his injury to truly realise how talented this player was. When Barton called him the best midfielder he has ever played with, there is a reason for that. Remember that Barton had played for Newcastle and Man City and here he is saying some Argentinian QPR player is the best he's worked with. That says a lot for me. What I think he does is give the right support to his midfield partner. When Barton or anyone wanted to go on a run forward, they did so in the confidence that Faurlin was there to cover or to receive and play the ball. When that injury came in, I honestly didn't expect him to play for the club again. Little did I know that 2 more injuries like it later, he is still at my club, still playing with passion every single game. That's why he's an inspiration to many of the younger fans. In years to come, when we have families and we head over to wherever the R's are playing their home games, we will hopefully remember one of the most talented midfielders to ever play for this club in the same way many remember club legends of their days. That's my personal opinion at least.

No, I'm just someone who's seen a lot of bad characters come into my club in the last 5 years so I appreciate when someone talented and grounded wants to be here and overcomes everything he has to help this club. I've learnt to appreciate that.

joking nasser-you are entitled to your opinions mate but he is not one of the greatest midfielders to ever play for the r,ss imo although better than simon barker who had better players around him but often swallowed it against some of the bruisers of the day(winterburn style)

For me, watching him that first half of the prem season, he kept us going then. He was the catalyst before his Injury. I hold firm that he is one of the most gifted players but was unable to match it unfortunately. Id say burden is rather harsh haha.

or the level of football we were playing mate. tbf to him without that injury to start it all off there is no chance he would be playing for us now-same as gallen. both could have been very good players at very good teams. the reality is he will never recover any kind of form to make me think that we should have given the bloke a new contract....again. while he is a rangers player who will give his all then he deserves everyones full support.
