Good! Now we can buy better players. Perhaps even Championship level.

was always going to be around this figure. I remember people going off on one saying we are going to have a £50 million fine. Hopefully if we can put this to bed quickly we can spend some money and this is the reason we have been reluctant to so far.

Who were the people that said £50M, not saying much now are they?

Any excuse for a meltdown/tantrum MYU. And for the tabloids, any excuse for a scaremongering exercise.

exactly. 8 Million barely scratches the surface of what we get over the next two years as parachute payments.

Just hope we push on now and spend a bit on a few quality players

And please no players just to make up the numbers. If they are not improvements on what we already have then don't waste the money.

Compared to what the journo's were wettiing themselves over, this figure is obviously better................BUT!....Don't you
think it's disgusting that a rule brought in (supposedly) to protect clubs from being run to oblivion has by it's guardians , the FL decided
to fine a club £8 million pounds. Surely this will be a record fine for an English club......It's a disgrace that these rules are in place
in the 1st place, but this sort of money can destroy clubs not help them

I might get me head bitten off but I still don't think we will pay out millions on new players

I don't really get this whole FFP thing...........if the fine is only £8 million, surely every club will flout the ruling as they will pick up more than that in parachute payments if relegated from the premier league or in prize money if they stay up?

What is the real point of it?

That said........£8 million is good for us...

Lets hope so. I know people are going into meltdown, but i think if we signed a CB, Striker and perhaps another winger, who are all quality players and likely to cost a bit, we will be there or there abouts.

I would not pay them a single penny. Call their bluff, take the ####ers to court.
