Having said that, I'm not in the Ramsey out club, just yet.
My main annoyance is this turning off of the financial tap.......There is such a thing as good spending
Dont agree with big sam Ive got to be honest. To much a case of we've been there done that with HR, also would show no vision or thought for the future imho. But do agree with the funds. Really like the idea of not spending big, but at the same time reckon theres a happy medium. Think it would be a good idea to put a bit of decent money into a couple of signings - maybe 1 striker/1 CB. Even if Austin stayed Id still like to see another half decent striker.

You cannot blame Ramsey for everything - look at our squad, it's misbalanced and TF & his associates are clearly hesitant to invest again getting fleeced for shite like Redknapp, Zamora, Johnson etc.

The club's a shambles and it would take an amazing manager to sort this mess out. Ramsey's inexperience means he isn't suited to the job and Les did not get his role of merit, it's just another clueless appointment by TF & co. The whole thing's a joke, nobody's got a clue. And Warnock isn't the answer either, he's from a different era and can't fix this mess, especially without an Adel in the squad to win us matches. This club's crying out for a decent board, if we'd had someone to reign in Hughes and prevent him from buying shite like Johnson we could've avoided the whole Redknapp era.

Despite all this I don't think we'll be relegated this year, but it's just a shame that next summer we're going to need ANOTHER rebuilding of the squad.

I think he's past it now, and his last few jobs have been complete failures, literally every one of them. Love him for what he done, but not the answer.

We've made our bed, now its time to lay in it. We all know TF doesn't sack managers on a whim, if anything, he's so daft he sticks with them way to long, to the point it's to late.

I think we'll be ok with Ramsey. When I say ok, I mean we won't go down, but we won't do anything of note either. Expect two seasons of this.
This is a sensible post, CR and Les are also learning but they'll learn quick, so a few years is a realistic target.

My only question is if CR fails and it's time to let him go, will Les have it in him to actually do it?

True. Just think the club as a whole, on and off the pitch are finally going about business the right way. And to bring in someone like Big Sam would almost take all that away.

Think Big Sam or even a small Sam would have changed things by going two up front when we were two down yesterday.

One upfront is negative, don't see that point as we've always looked better with two up front.

Actually I disagree......I think It's positive as long as you have the players to fill each role.
From the little I have seen, Chery can fit in, Fer if he stays can fit in, same Phillips, Chaz can't, Luongo box to box fine
Can be very effective if the players fill in for each other and roam ..........again my opinion

Only, once Charlie goes, we haven't two to play up front......

Bang on the money Dave regarding the players, the problem here is Austin he cant do the Drogba or Giroud role as I said in another thread Ramsey wants Charlie gone 15 mill in the bank then he can get his big target man and a few others as I do believe he be given every penny , then you see what Ramsey trying to do regarding team shape etc, ok that striker not gonna score 25 goals but you hope ,Chery, Phillips get into double figures.

Exactly, that formation is set up for the midfield to score the bulk of goals....Striker like Cole could do it....where has he ended up btw?

I think the problem here as been the Austin and Fer not going as I believe if that 20+ had come in then I think we probably gone for Fredericks at rb,, also that midfield lad from Holland that was ment to be outside the ground the Palace Player Guerdiola sorry for the spelling I think he name was, and solid centre defender and a target man and a player like Gray who can go down the middle but play in a 3

Carlton Cole not gotta a club bet he does the second Austin goes tho.

Actually been thinking about this......Ramsey has stated he wants us to play through the midfield,
so although we say he wants a target man, I don't think he wants us hitting long balls forward.
I took it as more a case of darting runs and playing through balls with the mf getting in the box

Sounds about right Dave. Especially looking at how we set up in pre season.
