Is that not good enough then? I'm pretty sure that a team has never been promoted out of the Championship based on the strength of their RB...a steady, experienced player who knows the division will suit me just fine.

we need a bit of experience in that position 30 on a 2 year deal isn't bad and can push furlong onto the next level great signing if true as he can play in 2 positions

I'm not sure we'll be signing him to be our RB for the next decade. He'll do a job this season, or until Furlong finally makes the step up (whichever comes first).

Good to read would beef up squad

Indeed mate. I dont get why some people are so against this signing. We've all moaned about the lack of options in defence and this guy can cover all the positions plus he knows the league well and is still 29 so has a good few years in him. We need a couple more experienced heads in the squad as most of the signings we have made so far have been younger players
