I'm not very happy with Caulker leaving. We are short on CBs and he might have had a poor season last year, but I'm sure he would have improved with a season in the Championship. Now we have to find 2-3 more CB's to fit in with the squad...

Fair enough mate, dont agree i think given a chance we do have good quality centre backs over here, we just seem to judge young players on one half of football nowOriginally posted by stationcafe View PostWe need to go for quality and quantity in our signings, and there are bargains to be had in the French/Belgian leagues. The coaching in France/Belgium is very good these days, they're producing a lot of good players. Plus they are generally better than what we will find in the English lower leagues - over here the majority are either overpriced or poor. I would love to be proven wrong, but if we continue scraping the barrel in England we'll probably end up with donkeys.
And I think our squad could do with a commanding physical CB, not that I'm against more intelligent CBs

First page makes for a funny read.
Why were a lot of you so certain he wouldn't go? He's convinced two managers to keep him in the PL, now a third.
But disappointed, not cos he's much cop, as I think he's pretty poor at a lot of things, it's just we're very low on quality & numbers at that back now.

Agree. He wasn't good enough for the premiership but would have been up to the championship. Loaning him out to potentially take him back if we get promotion makes no sense. Now we are so short in defence, its frightening. We have been defensively poor for a long time and this sets us back even further.Originally posted by Del View PostRidiculous decision by the club IMO. Should have ignored the minimal fee and had a solid back four and push for promotion.

Btw Ramsey came out with he don't want loans, last week........course next week he'll be saying loans are the life blood of this club

Come on mate if the right loan came about he would want it, he was saying a lot of loans don't always work, im sure one will be a capable championship centre back , they wont want to start campaign with just two recognised centre backs. Get used to this , this will happen again if a club offers to pay the whole salary then qpr have to let the top earners go.Originally posted by QPRDave View PostWell you say that, but lets ask it another way......will they be capable Champ players or
