    mid-table

Are we setting our stall out for mid table mediocrity next season? I understand that we need to cut costs and get rid of the high earners but surely we need to keep some of our better players and buy a few decent proved players to mount a challenge for the play offs at least, thought the parachute payments were to help keep our players although it will probably pay for any fine that we get.

I hope we don't go up next season. I worry a repeat will happen where we play musical mercenaries in the pl. Mid table is what I hope for.

Whatever happens I can't hope or wish for mid table.... I hope we are in the mix the whole season and go up via the playoffs again. That was my best footballing moment the last time at Wembley.

I also bet that the same posters on here that ask for mid table finish are on here moaning that we can't even beat Bristol City or when we draw 3 games in a row.

By few decent proven players do you mean top championship players? They cost a lot of money, Rhodes for example 10 million! No thanks. We are doing the right thing for once. Signing players that have the potential to be top championship players and are young enough that if we make it back to the Prem can make the step up. Btw i think we will be play off contenders.

Why? That's so defeatist, as of to say 'cos i think we are going down'.
That will never ever ever happen and all the doom mongers in the world saying it, thinking it or god forbid hoping it, could and would never make it happen.
Us and derby are the only two clubs buying players to push for instant automatic, but some think we are going down another division. Yeah alright.

So in percentage terms, how likely is the current team to get promoted?

Best odds you can get for us to go up is 16/1. Lowest is 11/1.
Percentage wise thats probably 90% more likely to go back up than to go down another division.

Think we're signing good young players tbh. Gone down the 'champions league winning player' transfers and its shite.

i like the business we're doing.
