You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

This. Hull were p*ss poor the entire game, would have won with 11.

So it started at Man City 3 years ago and his actions did not just almost cost us our premiership survival but embarrassed the club. There were calls for him never to play for the club again others were saying he should be given another chance. my view is and was he should never play for us again but he went away and come back and was given another chance and with some of his performances grew on me again and seemed to of calmed down but as they say a leopard doesn't change its spots, unfortunately Joey has a underlying anger issue and every now and them the devil gets the better of him. What I have learnt over the past 12 months is he is getting slower, his passing has become more and more erratic and the only way he knows how to combat it is with anger, this has shown with 8 yellows and a Red in his last 9 games. As I said when he first got a reprieve, Joey should never be captain he should concentrate on his game and he is a better player when that happens, as soon as he wears the armband he thinks he has to battle everybody's problems and loses focus of his own game, sorry but for me NO more Joey in our team.

Well he won't be captain for the next three games at least.. I can't see him not playing afterwards though as we can't afford to just drop a player, especially with injuries...

Ok yes, the ref was a joke and was looking to send Barton off for anything but he should be used to that by now. Let's face it, he walks a fine line purely on his reputation and that is his fault and his fault alone. so to do what he did, right in front of the the ref was plain stupid. He got what he deserved and left an already fragile team to play for 60 minutes against a serious relegation rival.
We would have got something from that game with 11 men on the pitch, of that I'm certain.
How many times is this bloke going to let us down and get away with it - still people support him despite a sheet of indiscipline as long as the Thames. Unbelievable really.
Oh and Joey, you say you are sorry but to me, that's just empty words, because every time you do something dumb and let your Club and its fans down like this, you apologise and yet we all know you are bound to do it again, and again and again.

Interesting to hear in Furlongs interview that he mentions Barton as one of the prose that kept an eye out for him the night before as it was his first time away with seniors

I think while he is at the club we just need to accept that Joey has this in him to flair up unexpectedly

I still like and rate him and think we will miss him. Does a lot of dirty work. Dont know if im boas but thought the sending off was a tiny bit unlucky, i now you cant strike a player but it was more a jokey nit gran from what i saw on motd. Saying that still wrong though and he deffo let everyone down.
