I doubt things were that bad at QPR tbh. I'm sure if we'd won a couple of matches the team would have got together, nobody wants to lose.

Only at the end of the season did Harry come out and say they were basically awful with no team spirit whatsoever.
Would SAF have waited to get relegated??? I think not.
He would have dropped every one of them and rightly so, but Harry stuck with them.
We should have played our reserves for the last 10 games or so to teach them a lesson.

'True to an extent'.... no, completely true, I can't think of one team that achieved anything who had 0 team spirit and 0 togetherness on the pitch.

when I say togetherness on the pitch I mean playing the game as a team, reading each other..... and team spirit is not only on the pitch but of it, having a bond with each other, getting on, joking around etc.

They're a group of young men living in London, getting paid tens of thousands a week to play a game they love; it's not Belfast during the troubles.

Pulis last year is a PERFECT example of how a manager can come in, galvanise the squad and get them playing. They don't have to be best mates. It's the managers job to build that 'togetherness of the pitch'. If he can do that, and get them to win some games, then the 'team spirit' will come naturally.

Yep. And the flip side of this is the 'togetherness' or 'team spirit' tends to be overstated after promotion.

Can I stop you just here? I think this is just an assumption. Among other things, love for the game depends on the club they are playing for, especially on the manager. Do you think the same team under, for instance, Warnock and Redknap would exhibit the same love for the game? The Warnock team aced it in our promotion season. The Redknap team only just barely managed to claw its way back into the PL. Was Redknap's team really weaker on paper?

A valid point, but it could be argued that Warnock didn't have a relegation the previous season, a complete change in the mentality in the dressing room from the horrible environment it was, or a major clearout to contend with.
Not dampening his acheivement at all, of course, just saying IMO Redknapp probably had a tougher job.

I'd go with Harry because he's been here and done it, can attract bigger and better players. I'm also happy with what I've seen so far this transfer window.
