HR had same problem with Carrick many moons ago. He came down from Geordie land and weighed 6st wet, Harry took it upon himself and fattened him up with some pie n mash, and look at carricks career now. I think the only negative with Carroll is his size, thankfully that is something that will improve

Although I agree that there is potential where Carroll is concerned, I think that his shortcomings right now are too noticeable for a permanent deal - another loan I'd be happy with. The thing with Carroll is, he doesn't score or assist in anywhere near enough goals to be considered an attacking midfielder or a playmaker, and he isn't tenacious and mobile enough to be considered a water carrier. If we do look into bringing him back permanently, HR really needs to have a good think about what role he sees Carroll having with us.
