If it isn't a top 6 / European team coming in for him then why should we sell him to relegation/mid-table rivals !?

If he has no release clause in his contract I see no reason to sell a proven Premiership striker unless a very good offer is made. Keep him and pair him up with Austin. If the latter can score goals at this higher level too, QPR will at least have two forwards who can score 30 league goals between them, which will give the club a fighting chance of staying out of the bottom 3.Comment

we
we have had various statements from redknapp that he does have a 8 millioon release cause in his statement,so i would if i was qpr give him a 20 thousand pounds a week rise and higher the release cause to 15 million that would get rid of newcastle and we would probabley lose him next season but the next season its really important we dont go down
so lets sort this out the sensable wayComment

Problem is we have fans that think Rangers are the be all and end all. Yes we love the club but to the outsider we are small fry & bottom of most players list I'd pretty much imagine. Some need to get real in all honesty.

If I could be bothered to trawl back over all his interviews yes,but it was well documented at the time and came up when Remy first went to Newcastle and everyone was banging on about a release clause,TF was asked straight out and he said how much him and Remy got on blah blah blah and there was no release clause and how much he wanted him back in the QPR team,it was on the offy at that time !!!Comment

The longer the saga drags on, the stranger it seems.
Still constantly linked in the press about the £8million release clause, why don't the club just issue a statement to confirm it isn't true?
If there is the £8million release clause then surely Arsenal would have snapped him up by now before any other clubs come in and activate it.
Only linked with Arsenal and now Newcastle again, but £8million would be a steal for a striker that scored 14 prem goals last season, yet no interest from any other prem club?Comment

Should the club release a statement containing details of a player's contract? Not sure if that is ethical. Would you be ok if your firm did that? I know I wouldn't.The longer the saga drags on, the stranger it seems.
