Who would have thought Caulker would have gone to newly promoted Cardiff a year ago? I think with us being in London and the Harry connection we will get him if we really want him.

Caulker has been made an excellent offer that I would be very surprised if Palace could match, certainly Everton couldn't or wouldn't or he would have gone there. Not much difference between us and palace in terms of potential for relegation so he is likely to choose the best financial offer and the opportunity to play next to Ferdinand which is a another pull for him.

Don't panic as it's not likely to be announced until Ferdinand is back from Brazil as they want to announce them together, so he may agree long before it's announced officially, but it does look very likely.

Can't quote the exact figures but he was ready to move to Everton, even looked at houses, but they wouldn't meet his wage demands, we have so it doesn't a genius to work out our offer is a pretty good one as he is happy with the offer just not sure re the threat of a second relegation. However he wants a London club and Ferdinand is an attraction so all looking good just need to be patient.

Not sure why everyone's getting so excited over him... didn't do a lot to stop Cardiff going down did he.
