Season tickets prices frozen if renew early

I know you're being sarcastic. £50 in club shop is not my thing as don't wear colours. Plus it doesn't cost the club that when you take their mark up off. Anyone in retail know what is the average mark up on clothing, guessing around 35%?

Loads of moaning on here. Do what I do, don't buy one if you don't like it or can't afford it. Buy one if you can or want to. Spread the cost or borrow the money if you have to spread the cost. Not rocket science. Same ones moaning about ticket prices are probably same ones moaning about QPR's financial accounts......

Personally, I'm not too unhappy about paying £50 less than we were being asked to do 3 years ago.

Some people are simply never going to be happy. Think I'd rather be £599 light, than £60m+ for a season.

We used our £50 refund voucher to buy away tickets as it did not have to be used in the club shop

Your missing my point Jimmy. People are concerned that the price of the season ticket (prem games alone) does no justify the price so why not consider throwing more on the ticket so your getting more for your money like they do. And Arsenal I believe have always done their tickets hat way not just since they have inflated the price

Now before you all call me a snob and shoot me down and scream kids mortgages etc let me explain.
If you like a drink at football, let's say 4 pints pre match. 4 pints at £3.50 a pop is £14. Times that by 19 games that is £266. Then a lot of people like hot dog or burger at footy, that's £5 x 19 games = £95. So that's £361 saved from giving up 2 things you don't need to spend money on. Now I get that not every one drinks footy or buys a burger but you get my point. If it means that much to you to get down and watch QPR you can find other ways to save money in your life. I bet a good 75% of people on here have sky at what say £50 per month? Cancel that and that is almost going to cover your season ticket monthly

People shouldn't have to do any of that and I would rather not go than sacrifice having a beer the social side is the best thing about the day

The club should of rewarded the fans who stuck by the club after one of our worst seasons in our history but instead they insulted peoples intelligence with there PR ******** and announcement of a price "freeze"

The amount they will make on these inflated tickets is a drop in the ocean compared to the feel good factor that could of been sweeping through W12 and which would help going into the new season

Now that people are paying these stupid prices there will be less patience and the atmosphere will easily become toxic if we start of badly especially if you pay on the day which will be £45 for a gold ticket !!

Yep that was exactly my point wasn't it! All I said was if it's a stretch to afford it then savings can be made elsewhere!
I for one have never bought food at football, and rarely have a pint at half time unless making a day of it. How someone can't go a few hours without food is beyond me, likewise with a beer.
If having a ST means that much to those that are moaning then my point is sacrifices can be made. But Jesus I really don't think £600 for a year is expensive. Just over £10 per week, people probably spend that a day in Starbucks etc

Well I flicked on the website whilst at work earlier and couldn't see any offer of an EBD. In fact the impression I got was that the ST's would actually go up in price to new ST purchasers.

I couldn't see any prices for new S/T holders, is this because there going to see how many renew first and then they can make a decision on how much they will charge, so if not a lot renew we may see new people will pay the same price to encourage sales .

Just re read what you put and see what you meant now. But surely not putting prices up is a reward in itself? Personally think they should do something along the lines of what west action said, or another thing like if you renew this year and we stay up you get 10% of next season?

And in my opinion even if the tickets were free certain members of our support would still be less patient etc

Because the money made by this increase is, in the great scheme of things, a drop in the ocean to the club. Would have been a great gesture by the club to the fans to have frozen them at 2013/14 prices.

To be honest mate thats what it look like to me, what they done is tell us what it would cost in match day tickets purchase separately.

Terrible PR, its amazing how many on here accept this from the club

At present we are looking at playing dire defensive football in the worst ever QPR kit whilst being charged extortionate prices (again) to watch it.

My dad isn't going to renew , I'm mostly gonna follow. The Play Off final was the pinnacle of our achievements, gonna pick and choose my matches now I think. I can afford the ST no problem but for me its about value for money and I don't believe Rangers offer it.

I am renewing, and it's a financial commitment but one I'm prepared for.

However, I do wonder why QPR do put the prices so high, considering our gate return compared to other incomes/outgoing is minimal on all proportions.
If the average cost of a season ticket is £630 (from bronze upwards)
if we sell 10k season tickets: £6.3m in revenue
If we reduce the cost of the average season ticket to a real low £450 (so bonze at like £350 and gold at £550)
if we sell 10k season tickets: £4.5m in revenue

Loss of £1.8m in revenue by reducing the average price by £180 per person.

but simply with Sun Ji retiring at £50k a week? 50k x 52 is £2.6m in saved revenue.

My point is the club make hardly any money on season ticket sales - so there is no point in trying to squeeze out the most revenue possible out of the fans. The gains are minimal. so why bother upping it? it's a drop in the ocean what we get at the gate.
