Dave, you have not actually stated why you dont stay permanently logged in by just ticking the 'remember me' box? That would avoid all these issues you describe.

Why should i have to log in ? Say im on my lunch break waiting at traffic lights or whatever and just want to have a quick look. Its only this week that this redirect of an add they have that takes you to a different site.

They will lose a lot of people who just browse if they dont fix this.. Makes you question the mods common sense. As mentioned no issues until the last 5 days.

As for your last paragraph, might be an idea if you simply PM'd one of us about an issue that appears only recently to have become one. If we knew about it, we might have been able to help you to sort it out.

Make sure it's one of the others now though, I'm off to Hertfordshire to perform Mothers Day duties.

Are you logging in initially using the mobile phone website option or the net??

Point is if you're not a member you get directed to a load of tosh. Who cares if you can stay logged in or not, personally mine doesn't stay logged in. New viewers will not hang around to sign up they'll just go elsewhere. I've seen it with my own eyes & that can only be a bad thing.

Putting an adwords box over the login at the top of the page is the biggest offender for me and against Adwords TOS

That is intensely annoying. I have to hit the 'reply with quote' button in order to log on.
The positioning of the adwords box, is as bad as our defenders.

My iPad stays logged yet my iPhone doesn't even after ticking the box.

Also what's that got to do with people who just want to browse? It's a bad set up plain & simple.
