It does raise the question, why does support apparently now just mean financial support?

What other kind of support is there then? Ok, lets use vocal support, you have to be at the ground to give that. Boils down to the same thing. You aint supporting singing at your lap top.

Fair enough mate but I'm still struggling a bit with your 'fan' definition, because surely any true fan would in some way, shape or form be spending money on the club. So in that sense I cant see any real difference between that and your 'supporter' definition. I mean how many real QPR fans would only watch an illegal stream and never actually spend anything in some other form?

Cant say it again, there is no ranking, one has supported the club, the other hasnt, hence the latter is a fan.

by the letter of the law, buying something cheap from the club shop still makes you a supporter nick mate. Cos if a thousand people that didnt go did that it could keep a small club going for another week or so.

i bought a season ticket, but i dont buy a programme as i find it shite , i buy a beer but not a pie, i dont buy anything from the shop as i can never get in there as its always ****** packed! i sing sometimes but **** off the players at other times! so am i a supporter or a fan?
