Bill, I really don't see how SWP can be accused of not putting a shift in. He's hardly been given a chance and missed out on playing when far inferior players get picked. But I've always regarded him as hard working. Just my opinion though.

Failing to fill the gap left by Charlie's absence, is going to cost us.I think you are actually agreeing with shania. You are also saying the reason we are not going up is because we didn't spend 11m on Rhodes. We have spent fortunes on players but nothing of any substance this transfer window which given we didn't have a striker consigns us to another year in the championship
Even though his goals were only papering over the cracks, we were in an automatic promotion spot with the Championship title still a distinct possibility.
I think we can agree that Charlie looked as if he was on course to get at least another 10-15 goals before the season ended.
Can't see how, other than signing a quality replacement like Rhodes, we are going to weather this storm.Comment

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. We have Phillips, Austin, Faurlin and Simpson sidelined. Arguably four of our best 6 or so players including our star striker.
If Burnley lost Ings, Kightly, Marney and Trippier, they would be f*cked.
If Leicester lost Nugent, Knockaert, Moore and Drinkwater, they would be f*cked.
If Derby lost Martin, Hughes, Bamford and Keogh, they would be f*cked.
There's only so much Harry can do. Carroll, Hughes, Hoilett and all these strikers we have signed are all pretty sh*t, but if we weren't crippled by injuries they would either be on our bench or not here at all. I still think we miss Faurlin massively. With him and Barton in midfield we wouldn't be getting dominated and outmuscled in the middle every week and the wingers may actually get the ball before the other team have 10 minutes to all get in position. Charlton was embarrassing but until we get most of those four back, get used to it! Finally, Hughes hasn't got enough stick for his performance. An absolute joke.
On the plus side, Traore feels like a glimmering hope. The only match fit player we have that will run at people. Amazing how he has now become our desperate plan A to get any goals.

It wasn't for the want of trying. Harry has stated we missed out on both our main targets and had to resort to loans at the 11 hour. January is always a difficult month to make additions, but to be fair the double whammy in losing Austin never helped either.Comment

Exactly, I mean just imagine what kind of damage this team would have done in this division if Tony and Harry had really gone for it:
Green
BAE
Onuoha
Dunne
Simpson
Faurlin
Barton
Phillips
Adel
Remy
AustinComment

Worst bit of ball control you will see this season after he did the hard prt of rounding the keeper, only had to lay it back to the oncoming player to put it into an empty net.doh,Comment

Keep dreaming ive seen elephants have more movement than Nico Swp big waste of soace since he came,Bae just showboating but costing usNot sure if you go to many games I go to almost all.
Traore is probably the most improved player in our squad.
SWP is not playing at all (if you hadn't noticed)
Niko is not setting the world of fire but effort is absolutely not one of his bad points.
BAE was being creamed over on here only a matter of weeks ago yet now he's a target?
I suggest you get to a few games & judge rather than just spout tripe.
Not happy at the moment no but it's down to tactics & team selection NOT effort.
Thanks.
Traore most improved you must be joking,Hoilett toilet,Benayoun how many games?........ and sorry been to more games than you have had hot dinners
and I like tripe but don't spout it sonnyComment
