You seem to be alluding to Mr Beard having no input in transfers?? If so then just WTF does he do at the club?!
Okay - we may end up with a stadium to rival The Millennium Done but will have a bundle of overpaid over the hill midfielders playing in it.

    Our business dealings are farcical
I suppose it would be farcical to give him any credit whatsoever for the new training ground, including steering a path through the various objections and opposition. And for the proposed new stadium that we may well be playing in.

Going by your previous example of logic, it must be Harry's fault that Carroll caused Huddersfield to equalise, as he picked him. If the total pig's ear he made of last January's window is any form of indicator, then he wouldn't work in football ever again.

All that you criticised him for before, was entirely the fault of the "football people" the board placed their trust in, because "football people" know what they are talking about, whilst hugely successful businessmen haven't a clue.

Don't really see how, if our available budget isn't as big as we would like, it's any more Beard's fault than it is yours.

If you think Phil Beard is good at conducting transfers then that's your opinion.
      Mine is somewhat different.

Once the training ground has a shovel put in the ground I will give him all the credit in the world - for that.
Once a new stadium design is approved and work commenced I'll give him all the credit in the universe - for that.
Should we achieve promotion back to the gravy train then he'll deserve credit.
If we retain that place sucking at the hideous teat of the money pit then likewise PB should have some allocated praise.

However, if a persons credit is to be measured by also the level of failures alongside the magnitude of their success then good old Phil is currently struggling - in my eyes anyway.
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Think you are missing my point mate. Never said he is great at conducting transfers, just that he can only operate within the parameters he is given in relation to monetary figures. Not his decision to sack Warnock or Hughes, or to appoint the current manager, who didn't exactly cover himself in glory last season.

unknown, exactly......he might be better than Rhodes....he's unknown to many, so he may well be!!!! Just because he's unknown does not make him an inferior prospect to a player everyone knows about eh!!

Probably to do with the financial fair play with Rhodes, which is why were didn't go for him - which is sensible to be honest, £7m was a lot.

Wells was the man. By the way, is there any news with Ntep on loan? It must be close now?
