He had an offer from a champions league club but said no to that and is now saying he only wants to join QPR...

Don't get me wrong that's great news but am I missing something, why is he so desperate to join rangers us???

Maybe just maybe he is just sensible and believes he needs to take one step at a time, we will give him game time, he is a young player and it's a big jump from the French second division to the Champions league.

Big Beard seems to get some stick on here. To be honest I think he has done great for us generally but has been given an incredibly difficult set of tasks. He keeps being told to do deals for players who often should be joining bigger teams. As with Hooper they would see us as somewhere to go if no better offer comes along. In other words Beard has been a victim of our ambition. I'm not complaining; I accept that for the better quality of players we go for we won't be successful but if we occasionally pull it off great.

Did a fantastic job in summer and last January in getting rid of players and in getting in a virtually new squad. When you think about it the overhaul has been massive. Not his fault Hughes wanted a load of players who largely didn't work out.
