    Assou-Ekotto

Don't rate him I'm afraid. All very well doing a few tricks in your own half, but how many crosses did he put in tonight? I counted one. That's embarrassing for a full-back. Looks uninterested half the time as well. Send him back. Moderately better version of Bosingwa IMO. Skilful, but if he can't be arsed then I don't want him here.

As for our attacking play, it is absolutely abysmal. Seem to have forgotten the basic principle of 'pass and move'.

It's quite simple really. Sign three quality forwards in January or forget promotion. At present we're not good enough to go up.

Offers nothing going forward , player going through the motions. Solid defensively but rarely does produce many stand out performances.

As W12 said defensively sound but gets to the edge of opo box and gives it backwards although some disagree with this

We have two very sound full backs but attacking wise they offer zilch in the other end of the pitch and where the best sides have full backs that bomb forward, over lap and create we have two who appear unable to do that and with one up top we need overlapping full backs to take defenders out of position

The combination of our team is abysmal. We're going nowhere playing this type of football. We cannot unlock defences as most players are in the usual positions waiting for the ball to reach them! We have no idea of how football should be played. So much for our experienced squad!

assou ekotto has sulked ever since his ruck with Austin, he has decided to just treak water and do the basics, Harry should be right into him . Typical prem egotist.

The whole team played poor, nothing to do with our fullbacks it's the formation we're playing that doesn't warrant our fullbacks bombing fwd.

Behave. Best left back in the division by a country mile and arguably one of the better ones in the prem. even going through the motions he still looks our best defender and we would be a much weaker side without him in it. He may not be bothered to set the world alight but he defends well and uses the ball simply.

As most of you have said he does his job defensively which amazingly as a defender is what he is required to do. Crosses/going forward etc are not his job - that is the job if the players in front of him. So it's laughable to have a go at him for putting in 1 cross all game which is not his job but acknowledge he does his actual job of defending well. Baffling.

Centre forward scored it and pulled off the back of Hill. Not his man at all.

That centre forward is actually the right back who they lumped up front due to an injury crisis . A right back and he took the **** out of us

Totally disagree that he's the best left-back in the division and I think you display a severe misunderstanding of the role of the modern full-back. Good full-backs offer an attacking option; they charge down the wing and put crosses into the box. As for his defensive contribution, I don't think he's as solid as people make out. Just gives off the impression that he can't be arsed. We need players who give 100%.

If the forward pulls off the centre back and is the last man then the left back ought mark the forward if there is no one behind him.

The fact that Spurs... yes potential top 4 team in the Premiership Spurs are going to recall him and play him week in/week out should give you a hint he is the best left back in the Championship surely?? Just to amuse me some more -who is a better left back in the Championship??

Good full backs defend first. He can't charge down the wing and put in crosses if we don't have the ball. We spent most of the evening giving it away. Hence why Danny Simpson never offered anything going forward tonight.

BAE is one of the last people we need to change.
