They had two open chance in addition to those you mentioned, both went wide.

If they aint a shot on target then it aint a chance, otherwise you could call goal kicks chances

Agree it was a very poor performance. As usual, a completely wasted first half, coupled with a baffling team selection once again. Very annoyed, particularly with it being such a vital game.

Hopefully it was a one off, but nobody at all came off that pitch with any credit whatsoever in my opinion. Laboured build up play from the back, incredibly slow to get the ball to the danger areas, inability to do the basics in favour of messing up what would look great if it comes off, but hardly ever does.

Oh dear.... Clueless doesn't do it justice.

At the start of he 2nd half Dyer had the bet chance of the match and fluffed it completely.

of course it is! If you have an opportunity to score that is the definition of a chance.

By that logic..we had 20 clear cut chances 12 missed the goal.. 8 on target , 2 cleared off the line, and one fairly obvious penalty. Glass half full or half empty

When any half decent player would most likely score, or at worst make the keeper save it then yes it is.

By your *****ic logic, if a player was a yard from the goal line with an open goal in front of them and only needed to tap a cross into the net, if they messed it up, which has been one many times, you'd say it wasn't even a chance......

                  hmmmm yeah, nice one.

What are you talking about. He's talking about clear cut chances the players should score. We had a couple, so did they, as well as scoring and hitting the bar!

Most of our shots were from distance and poor, so irrelevant in the context of his comment. Also, it was never a pen, the ref got that spot on.

Disagree , 2 cleared of the line, Phillips chance, Phillips shot following the off the line clearance, Niko near miss in the first half, oneil forcing a save early on ...we had more clear cut chances than them. They were catching us on the break once they got their goal they played an 8 1 1 formation. Once they got one they were happy with that.

My point is why do people constantly look for the negative when we are top of the league. If the season ended tomorrow we would go up. Also when most on here were saying this should be a season of consolidation and some even predicting we would do a wolves and go down again.

O'neil hardly forced a save as opposed to rolled it to the keeper.... But thats another story.

The point is they created some clear cut chances other than the goal and shot on the bar.

Also you suggest they went defensive, yet they created much better chances than us after they scored. We were clueless 2nd half.

Del, I think you are wasting your time mate.

You've hardly thrown a hissy fit, just pointed out that TODAY we were awful. And I couldn't describe it any other way, without going well over the top.

I said last week we have had more than our share of luck this season. Luck only goes so far. You can just focus on the last 3 matches to see we have issues. We should have been 2 nil down to Blackburn by half time and even more to to Blackpool. Today we lost. There are plenty of more examples of matches where we have snatched points where we could have come unstuck.

I said a couple of weeks ago that the next four matches could define how good we are. So far we have won one and lost won.

Dyers shot in the 46th minute was a chance. How can anyone disagree with that?

Doesn't have to hit the keeper or post to be classed as a chance.
