I don't think we need Taylor but maybe Harry thinks Dunne might start to struggle, so would rather use him sparingly. Hill has been great but 1st choice will be dunne and nedum. Nedum has pace and I think these 2 really complement
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

If fit Clint and Dunne will start Saturday. Harry, unlike some, is loyal.....

Just filling paper space imo , also I think other clubs will come in for Remy ie the likes of Spurs could give better swap + cash deals

Long term partner for Onuhua possibly, Dunne and Hill will struggle in the PL

Yes, but that was before it had dawned on him that the manager had decided he wasn't good enough.

My personal view, as always, is that if any player has turned us down, then so be it, the ship has now sailed. Find another one.

To be fair i think Onuhua will struggle in Prem as well. Or should i say, has struggled. We may need to replace the back 4 as defensively we was shocking in the Prem. I would keep Dunne though and Onuhua as they would be good to bring on when we are 1 - 0 up with 10 mins to go. Hopefully we could buy BAE.

Taylor wasn't a bad centre half to be honest, we are a little light at the back and IMO we have been very very lucky with Hill & Dunne remaining injury free for so long. But there is half a season to go and perhaps HR wants taylor as cover. Also Newcastle are probably trying to sweeten the deal for Remy.

Don't think Remy will sign for Newcastle no matter if they still have agreed the release clause or not.
End of the day it will be up to Remy if he signs for them, or if we get promoted he comes back.
Personally I think if he continues the season he is having and has a good World Cup he will be high on the list of a lot of clubs.
I can really see him ending up at Arsenal or Liverpool next season.

HR says he knows nothing about the Taylor rumours and he's not necessarily worried about our defence because of how well we have done at the back

(That might change if Ekotto gets called back)

Harry Redknapp has made a £2million bid for Newcastle’s United’s out-of-favour central defender Steven Taylor.

Taylor looks set to quit Newcastle after failing to win his place back in the first team Taylor looks set to quit Newcastle after failing to win his place back in the first-team

Redknapp believes that the 27-year-old, who was called into Roy Hodgson’s squad for the World Cup qualifier in San Marino in March, can help cement a swift return to the Premier League but the Toon want around £5m for the player:
