Yes that's fine, but the stewards don't let ya past until you've shown em. I'm a ST and some wally of a steward the other week said he needed to see my ticket before letting me upafter I had kindly refused his offer to show me to my seat. Zero common sense from em, proper simpletons. They migt be asking that to show you where your seat is? If you are not a season ticket holder and attend only a few games every season, like I do, then they can actually be helpful. I sometimes have orientation difficulties in crowded spaces and the steward standing at the op of the stairs next to my block entrance, quickly checking my ticket and pointing me in the right direction is a good thing. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.Comment

Unless you're Heisenberg ;)No. Before you entered the ground... They wanted to see the ticket before you presented them at the turnstile. Your suggestion is good stewarding. I'm not anti steward. Just dumb a55 actions. i follow any sensible instruction. For instance I'm happy to be frisked before an away game even though one glance at me and an assessment of my age, bearing and demographic would tell you I'm not likely to be carrying an offensive weapon....Comment

That's the one, I said to her to use some common sense and she said we are told what to do, so I said to her if they told you to play with yourself would you do it and she replied NO, so I said so you don't do everything they say so use some fuc*ing common sense and she just shook her head and walked off. The steward who pulled the kid off a seat got what he deserved but still went around acting billy big balls during half time.Comment

Told ya so ! If you have 2 arms and 2 legs and can breath then you are qualified to be a steward at loftus road . As I said in earlier post about Bournemouth game .Comment

also there may be a name on your ticket and they are recording it...they can get pinhole cameras you know
stewards are qpr have been a problem for years, they cause grief and seem power mad.
there was one woman in particular who was a real khunt, they the army of men come and back her up.
thing is after a game they just sneak away...hey hoComment

used to sing 'kill kill kill the bill' n it would kick off with the rozzers......time to turn the attention to the minimum wage wazzers!you know nothing john snow!!!!Comment
-
never get any grief from stewards for some reason, must be my harmless demeanour
. straight into ellerslie turnstiles and upstairs no problem yesterday.
having said that, some of them think they have some authority and would benefit from a good slap.Nothing to proveComment

The best way to deal with this is to write a letter to Tony. I bet he'd do something about it. You would need to call out specific incidents and specific stewards though - a general whinge wouldn't do any good.'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.Comment

Please leave tony alone. Please, dont anyone write to him about stewards , warm beer, weak bovril or signed shirts for your two year olds sports day. Let him get on with the important stuff.Comment

I would argue that having a good relationship with your customers is about as important as it gets! Nobody should have to leave LR pi$$ed off because of the heavy handed actions of some idi0t who is working for the club!'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.Comment
-
Please, we are talking about rangers fans here. They will be writing to tony moaning and blaming him about the font of the print on the tickets if you encourage themComment
