Joey Barton could be heading to Everton with Steven Pienaar possibly going the the other way. Just saying what I've heard. Given the season he's having I hope it remains just a rumour.

Have to agree ...
1. Why would Everton who are flying want Barton
2. Why would Pienaar want to come to us
3. Not sure Joey saying he's an Everton fan makes any difference, he's hardly the prodigal son like Shearer to the Toon
4. Joeys links to Everton is on par with Bothroyd being QPR, JB loved City, he loved the Toon and then Marseille.
5. JB not type of player that Martinez would sign IMHO. Also doesn't M want champions league football.
6. The links in July were more JB when he didn't want to come back to us.

JB supposed to be great of the football pitch to, a great motivator. That would be a huge part of him that we would miss and I very much doubt Pienaar could bring that.
