    But they didn't.
And in fairness, they hardly threatened to.

We could all want more of some things but can we really be so picky considering the start we've made and where we currently are in the table after 1/3rd of the season? Remember too this is QPR we're talking about. Italian teams (and Arsenal) used to be famous and revered for their mean defences and ground out 1-0 victories, so it's partly a cultural thing too. 3pts is 3pts is 3pts etc.

But you could just as easily say if SWP's shot been 2" lower we'd have run out 2-0 comfortable winners. And as 1976 says Charlton didn't score or barely threatened to. But the fact is neither happened, it was 1-0 to the Rangers, another 3pts in the bag and we remain in a fantastic position.

Top class answer. And I agree with your earlier post, Jay. Today was the second game I haven't seen this season (I listened to the Millwall commentary..) but I knew we won ugly. Great stuff. But, with our squad, we ought win nice occasionally. And we might do if we play AJ up front when fit (or even behind the striker).

My only worry is that our goal difference could cost us promtion at the end of the season.

Thanks 77.I think I'm relatively qualified to have my own opinion after supporting the R's since 1951.I know a win is a win and 3 points, and that it is paramount that we return to the Prem at the first time of asking, but I do find the teams style of play not only pedestrian and unattractive at times compared to the likes of Burnley and Leicester, but also a risky approach to gaining 3 points. We often resort to hanging on to a slender 1-0 lead against mediocre opposition when the games should have been put to bed a lot sooner. On paper we have by far the strongest squad in the Championship yet seem to approach each game too cautiously and unattractively for my liking.AJ needs to be brought on a lot sooner as he does add something to the team whenever he comes on.Yesterday the ball was going out of play by the corner flag and he chased what others would have given up as a lost cause, and centered to O'Neil who unfortunately missed when it was easier to score.

I think we play some lovely football, control matches, apply good tactics to win…... yeah we should commit more men forward but I'd sooner we were not getting hit on the counter attack on the back foot when we lose possession.

Good post geejay ,and i have to admit i agree with you and Mellow on this one , i would rather we were playing more attacking ,attractive football . I know three points is three points but yesterday was tedious at times.

I thought Charlton looked one of the poorest teams to visit the Bush this year. And their keeper looks double dodge to me

Think to be complaining after a win makes some of our fans sound like spoilt brats..........bet Spurs fans would love a boring 1-0 right now

They'd be happy with a boring 0-5 the way it's going.

i see where your coming from Dave, but i think if you pay your money and sit through a match ,youve the right to an opinion, plus for many people three points is not the be all and end all , ( although agreed, its better to win then lose ! )

You not happy vespa? wasn't having a dig at you. Of course i agree you have a right to an opinion and i do think opinions of those at the match are probably more valid. I just find it uncomfortable
to see complaints after a win. A lot of fans comparing this team to Warnock's and saying how boring this lot are, to me they are not seeing the full picture.
In my view we have a better team now (best in the division) we are not a one man dominated team, and we did have 21 shots yesterday apparently.
It was a derby and Leeds apart last time out Charlton have been quite hard to beat recently and from hearing reports weren't exactly coming here to play expansive football

I am happy ,top of the league ,another 3 points ,clean sheet etc i just found it a bit frustrating to watch yesterday , especially with AJ on the bench for most of the match , i just want fluent ,attacking football , i dont like all this ,one upront business at home ,even though we are grinding out results.
                              No pleasing me ,i know
