We should also bear in mind that on WATRB the main section is for QPR discussion only and we have another section for general topics. Some messageboards operate without this division, with every topic under the sun cramped into the same single section. It will thus look busier and some people like it this way, others prefer separate sections like we have, no messageboard will please everyone but everyone will certainly find a virtual "home" to their liking.

The man is so cringey. I read somewhere last week that he draws a a stick man cartoon strip for EVERY QPR goal he's ever seen. Someone please tell me this isn't true?

We undoubtedly could do with a few new posters contributing more opinions and stimulating debate.

However, why would they join THIS particular board, when much of the content is pathetic sexual inuendo which might be OK if you are a teenager? Or when they get slaughtered for having differing opinions? Or being accused of supporting someone else?

New members need to be made welcome. Until such time as the lurkers see that they are and not just targeted with abuse and ridicule, nothing will change.

Pretty obvious really, how things would develop when certain people just flout the rules because they think can do what they like. Then they complain about things when it's quiet.

Saddens me to see good posters turning up on other sites, having been driven away by the drivel they have to endure from some on here.

How about we create a friendly welcoming committee of a few dedicated volunteers who are not mods, so as not to scare away the newcomers? For instance our Matty, I am sure he would love to make every member feel welcome ... in his special way ... OK, maybe not such a good idea after all.

Other forums are much quieter than this one. Their threads, as far as I see, are much, much shorter. Not606 is a bit of a private members club..... I guess if some fans only sing when they're winning we tend to post (more) when we're losing.... If the forum's talked down it'll go down.
