diakite was one of our best players before it went sour though. great engine, can tackle, fast, strong, can beat a man, decent dribbler. if he was more disciplined he'd be good for a top 6 club.

but yes it;s fashioanable to slate him, make it the scapegoat etc

Hold on....Since Jan 2012 he has only had 23 appearances. How many of them did he have a decent game in? 2 maybe? 3?
Top 6 club? lol i dont think he is premiership class at all.

he has a strange ability to drift past people. that is what people like about him....every other way he's a liability........
even this drifting thing he does is rare.........

People have short memories on here and from reading some of the posts it sounds like they've got Diakite mixed up with M'Bia. Diakite was one of our stand out players in the season we stayed up. He would have played week in week out last year if he hadn't gone loco.

Genuine box-to-box midfielder who CAN tackle, pick a pass and beat a man. We was brilliant at turning defence into attack with either a burst of pace or a good forward ball, something extremely valuable in a holding player these days.

Not entirely sure what the arguments over, but at this current moment in time and in this league, Barton is far more valuable than a player like Diakite who clearly has other things going on. To write him off as utter rubbish is wrong though.

Mbia, Granero, Diakite. All in the same category.

Sorry but I agree with him. I haven't seen a centre midfielder like him at Loftus Road, he was top draw
                  Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                  And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I think the term rose tinted glasses springs to mind here. It really makes me laugh some of the things people come out with. Bring back M'Bia I tell yee!

You never saw Gerry Francis or Don Masson then.

yes but the best players do not always get picked. look at Nani/Kagawa getting rejected at Utd for Valencia, ashley young & 40year old Ryan Giggs

he was great in our wins against liverpool & arsenal, amongst others. could definitely be a squad player at everton/####/pool/utd when u look at their midfields
