There is scope to appeal and/or make a special case which seems to be what the club are doing ...

What happens if a player has not been granted a work permit?

If a football player does not fulfil the above criteria and has his application for a work permit turned down there is the possibility for a club to appeal the decision. This appeal will be heard by an independent panel and it will be the job of the panel to assess the following things:

To consider whether the player is of the highest calibre

To consider whether the player is able to contribute significantly to the development of the game at the top level in the UK

It is often the case that when clubs sign young players who have not had the opportunity to play for their national side due to their age the work permit will be granted due to the ability and potential shown by that player in their fledgling career

Diakite and Traore are both 100% French having been born there. Mbia moved there when he was 18 so might be a citizen by now.

This is the article from the Guardian regarding West Ham. Does anybody know whether they actually appealed against the ruling. If they did I cannot understand why the Club would be appealing again.

The club must think or know we have a chance surely? Or as reports suggest that West Ham appealed aswell, well what a waste of time

Don't really know what to make of this one , one of my all time favourite players was Faustino Asprilla...it would be quite exciting to unearth a South American footballing gem.

Having already signed Austin would make me feel more at ease about signing this lad

They have Falcao, Jackson martinez, james rodriguez, luis muriel, fredy guarin, pablo armero and ospina to name a few so these players are all top class players who are playing for the best teams in the best leagues. Sort of like belgium but better

                            my second exclusive transfer confirmation

dont forget i brought you the austin transfer first, now i bring you confirmation of the duvan zapata deal the whole key to this deal was that when west ham tried to get him they could not guarantee first team football so thats why he wasnt granted the work permit

we have secured the deal by guaranteeing that duvan starts 30 games this season and that gentlemen is the key to the confirmation of this deal

GAME SET AND MATCH TO QPR AS WE WIN THIS DIVISION AND TAKE THE FA CUP AS WELL

Cheers Ted, great news, he looks a great player and should do well playing along side Austin and AJ.
