Losing Remy for the season was a big blow tbh. I don't think Defoe is as good but I expect he would do fine enough if he arrived.

AJ has already stated on record he can't play all season & would welcome Defoe.

          Looks Good!

That would leave Faurlin alot to do.I would put Barton in the Middle and the new lad from liverpool (if he comes) on the right. use Aj as an impact super sub.

Said on SSN that he was on 55k a week at Spurs, we pay more so it could happen.

The problem is JD will not want to drop down a division, we'll have to offer him much more to even tempt him, which then means we are again paying well over the odds.

If we don't get promoted, we're going to be in trouble. The chances with him in the team, we should go up but we are QPR... nothings straightforward with us.

Really don't understand this apparent obsession with it being a world cup year. You will not get picked for your country, constantly sitting on the bench. Or in the case of a striker, not scoring due to being in a struggling team.

Whereas, by being a part of a 50 goal strike force would get you noticed.

In a world cup year I just can't see it happening personally. I know he's a pretty long shot for getting in but if Lambert can then surely he'll fancy his chances if he has a good season.

Much like Townsend and Parker, if he gets a Prem team after him then he'll go to them.

However, if it gets to deadline day and he's still at Spurs with no other options, could easily see him joining us.

In fact, just seen he's in the England squad. Little if any chance that we'll be able to get him IMO.

                  Would love to be wrong.

World Cup year? Season finishes before World Cup starts and after scoring 30 odd goals he'll be on the plane as a Prem player!

Defoe is on £55k pw, I really hope he doesn't come as it is too much for our club.

Agreed. Realistically we shouldn't be looking at anything over 10-15k per week for new players coming in but we all know TF and the board will push the boat out a bit when it comes to that.

You do talk some drivel this is precisely the signing we need to make , it would quite simply mean the difference between automatic promotion and the play off lottery and that's if we make them

It all hinges on Bale. If Spurs get the reported £85m, I reckon they will bring in 3/4 quality players. Leaving players like Defoe, Parker and maybe Townsend not getting a look in. Hopefully Harry can work his magic in convincing these players we are their best option!!

Agree and I think that's exactly how it boils down
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
