Exactly what I'm thinking. Makes me sick to be frank

I think Warnock had all of his signings by the first friendly game. Settled in, & we went I think 19 games unbeaten & won the league

    Redknapp's a clown at times
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I dont disagree, however when we signed Barton and SWP, i thought it was great buisness at the time! I think i was still visualising the SWP who ripped us apart a few years earlier when Man City came to us in the cup......if only!

The situation is different now. We have a lot of players on high wages that needed to go first. Look how long it took to offload Bosingwa.

That's a fair point to be fair

                Ridiculous situation.

Don't want to have to continually criticise HR, but there is absolutely no excuse for allowing us to be in this mess a week away from the start of a new season. I know a lot happens throughout August usually, but that doesn't make it right.

With regard to having to shift some out first, Samba went for what we paid and we were rid of his wages weeks ago. Cisse had gone, Campbell had gone, Bothroyd had gone. By his own admission, we spent two and a half months sodding around with Hooper, instead of trying to get in people that want to come.

Think I read somewhere once that the vast majority of footballers contracts expire at the end of July. I think a good move from the football world would be to ensure that they finish at the end of May. That would see a few of the little darlings make their decisions a bit quicker as they wouldn't want to be unpaid through the summer holidays. That would ensure that the management and coaching staff can concentrate of productive work and getting things right, as opposed to pandering to the desires of overpaid, over hyped players.

God yeah. I was so delighted. Even with Anton. Talk about live and learn.

I agree that this is a ridiculous situation but I don't think its quite fair to lay this all on the door of HR just yet. We are in a mess having signed lots of players on lucrative long term contracts and got relegated. You can't blame the club for wanting to get rid of as many as possible before getting more in.

The club messed up with Hughes letting him spend, spend, spend and now they're trying to put it right which doesn't include getting more players in before the ones not needed are shipped out.

We all know what the problem is. If you don't have a solid, specialist CB pairing its gonna go titz up. This problem has not been properly dealt with since promotion, we went up with a defence not fit for purpose, and we came down in the same state.

In the long term we are going nowhere until we move away from past their sell by date culture. But that's Harry for you.

How do you know? Without knowing what goes on behind the scenes, how can you make such a definitive statement and criticism?

I am all for talking and discussing opinions but some on here seem to like running down the club and manager based mostly on rumour and speculation.

Probably Townsend as Spurs have just returned, but the chance is little.
