Haven't seen anybody say otherwise? Just because he's a big name that might be able to attract "big name" players, doesn't mean everybody has to ignore it when he (in people's opinion anyway) makes a balls up.Originally posted by Buffalo View PostIf you believe what you read, Harry has been one of the big reasons that we have attracted some of the players we have since January. Seems to be easily forgotten on here. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Maybe some are mate, but bottom line is he's made us look stupid after coming out & saying we've enarly got him & that a PL club won't hijack the deal. Just stay bl00dy schtum until we've got him, that way if we lose him, we lose him, no egg on face.Originally posted by QPR71 View Postpeople have been a bit OTT about his comments Matty!!!

And no farking way - I'm contemplating chaining myself (naked of course) to Cameron's front gate in protest. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Well, I think Brighton just did?Originally posted by MattyRangers View PostHaven't seen anybody say otherwise? Just because he's a big name that might be able to attract "big name" players, doesn't mean everybody has to ignore it when he (in people's opinion anyway) makes a balls up.
I don't disagree with what you say but I do think people are over-reacting. Maybe Harry does talk to the media too much but I don't think he's made a "balls up". Do you seriously think that anything that he has said has had any material affect on this deal? He answered a question and even said that it wasn't done yet and you never know etc.. No point in worrying about being a laughing stock over it - we've been one for the last two seasons at least anyway.
The bottom line is that we have a long hard season ahead and what should be a very capable squad, with possible improvements still to come. I for one am looking forward to a season that is at least a fraction more successful than the last two and it is quite sickening to see people on here turning on the manager before a ball has even been kicked. Harry is what he is and he's our manager, warts and all.

yeah well said matty. i'm the first to say he has attracted big names and i don't think he is responsible for this transfer falling through, but he is responsible for ruining my day andOriginally posted by MattyRangers View PostHaven't seen anybody say otherwise? Forgive my ignorance, but apart from Remy, who has he actually attracted that anybody else wanted. I think it fair to say that we can leave out the bloke who turns slower than the Ark Royal and is back being happy in Russia.Originally posted by Buffalo View PostIf you believe what you read, Harry has been one of the big reasons that we have attracted some of the players we have since January. We desperately needed two quality, prolific strikers. We have for many years in actual fact. We are currently heading into the new season with two aged, injury prone players.
Was fully prepared to give him a chance even after the shambles he made of last season, but as yet, he is just confirming my worst fears.

Not really. Harry stated a while ago he needed 2 strikers. Anyway, once a pay increase as to what he is on now is offered, will it make any difference who was 1st choice?Originally posted by suttonranger View PostIf you were Austin and we have offered a bid for him wouldn't you think 'oh second choice am I?, bugger you lot'
