From what I have understood at this point in time, the other teams who wanted him have pulled out. I assume this is because they do not believe he is worth any more than they have bid and are looking into alternatives.

Also it is being said that he doesn't really want to come to us and would prefer to go elsewhere (Norwich and West Ham have been mentioned).

I am not really sure that under these circumstances we really want to pursue this. There must be other strikers out there who can do just a good a job, actually want to come to Club and won't cost us much money.

No worries there as all teams linked are not in Champions League and doubt the top four will be going for him.

We should withdraw the offer and move onto someone else, The sort of money they are looking to spend on him could be used on players who actually want to try to help us get promoted again. Tuesday we were supposedly close and yet nothing not confirmation or even rejection. A seems like a waiting game is being played but at the moment not very well

I just asked Tony Incenzo if anything is happening signing wise and if we were in for Hooper.

I know he can't say if we are in for anyone but when I asked if we were signing Hooper he replied with 'not tonight ....'

I love people have decided he isn't going to try for us already based upon the fact we're not in the PL

THe bloke is a proven goal scorer, rather him for £5.5m than £10m or whatever Rhodes or somebody already in that league would cost us.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Don't think he will be a non trier and yes he is a goal scorer but he does not seem to be busting a gut at the moment to come to us. We do not know the full story as we don't even know if a fee has or was ever agreed?

I think Hooper is probably holding out for a Prem Offer, but could be a bad move at moment of his career.
He has shown he is capable of scoring in the Championship and the SPL but the Prem is a huge step up, and it could be a disaster.
I maybe being biased here, but if we can get rid of the deadwood and bring in players like Hooper,Austin etc in there place we will have a squad who can challenge for promotion.
Hooper thinks it may improve his chances in getting an England Call Up in the Prem, but unless he is sh*t hot he will be overlooked!!!
Think he would be noticed more if him and Austin bagged 60 goals between them in a promotion season
                            Is
