What's the craic with this clown, is he just sat at home doing nothing?

I'd assume the fact he's gone AWOL means he is not getting paid.

I keep asking this. He wasn't chosen to go on the pre-season tour, but nobody has said what the players who did not go on the tour are actually doing. He just tweeted that he is off to Windsor for the evening races, so maybe he is in London and training, but I very much doubt it.

For that matter what are the likes of Cesar doing. He hasn't been transferred yet, so assume he too is sitting around doing nothing and getting paid by the Club.

Probably searching the internet for the slightest bit of encouragement that Marseiile actually want him.

What are you on about? He's training on his own at Harlington until the deal is agreed with us and or Marseille.

Thanks. How do you know that? Has anybody seen him there? Are the other players (Cesar etc) also training at Harlington?

Do you think we'd let him sit at home? He was also featured on Sky Sports News last week being put through his paces alone with the fitness coach. I presume Cesar will be due back this week.

That's great. Hopefully he will get fed up with that soon, and decide what he is going to do, because at the end of the day, nobody is going to make that decision for him. We're not going to pay him off and Marseilles is not going to pay the money he wants, so the ball is really in his court.

According to his twitter his last couple of weeks have involved racing, golf and watching TV. Not bad for £60k a week or whatever he is on.

How come he gets away with being paid but does not turn up.

So what if Hughes bombed him out , if we want him back he has to come .

If he is so desperate to move , cancel the contract, he wont as hes a greedy footballer.

Bloke must be well embarrassed , no bids , nothing from anyone. Proper over the hill knob

Well I'd call it an absence without leave or do you think he booked the time off with work?

If that's the case, we can fine him again.

Club should say if any player fails to turn up for training, it's a 1 week fine.

Matty already said he has been training at Harlngton.

How do footballers get away with it!

it really does my head in. In no other job in the world can you behave so appallingly and be so well rewarded. (apart from banking i suppose) If i walked into my job everyday saying i wanted to leave and work for the other company down the road and when i was there did absolutely Fark all. As a freelancer i would be told to leave be paid a weeks notice and probably find it extremely difficult to get another job.

Footballers are so detached from the real world in terms of money etc, 60K a week for something that most of us would chew our right nut off to do. Its a joke!
