Can we please ban these other sides fans coming on here, its for QPR only not Millwall and Fulham etc. Please go on your own boards as your not welcome here.

Football is tribal, you of all people should know that.

That's a real nice dig, I like that
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

A 35000 all seater ground called the Air Asia stadium , built in a retail park , sitting surrounded by people who didnt love Rangers enough to attend matches at Loftus Rd because the facilities were a bit rough and ready.

Another little piece of my soul just died .

You can't argue that just because we're moving to a bigger ground were going to end up like fulham. They are a one off. Ridiculed and rightly so for their pathetic support. They have not and never will have fans like us. They are a completely different type of supporter.

You can't claim that as we're moving we will end up like them, as other clubs have done the same yet they havnt turned into fulham mark 2.

Reading, Southampton, Brighton, Swansea, Cardiff, Hull, Stoke, Bolton, Man City, Derby, Sunderland all clubs that have moved to bigger grounds yet have not become "fulham with tourists"

I don't want to move from LR no more than anyone else, but it's outdated and quite frankly poor from a supporters point of view.

If we were still playing in the 80s, and were still paying 80s wages and 80s ticket prices, then fine, no need to move or improve, but I for one resent paying what I do for what quite simply a **** match day experience now. Can't get a drink at HT. Can't get a drink before! Can't have a **** at HT. can't get tickets for friends or family to sit nearby. Can't move once say down as the leg room is so poor.

Things need to improve or one day when there will be no one left coming through the turnstiles.

All the older lot who can remember how things used to be might not want to move but what about the future supporters? Are they going to want to keep paying ott prices for such poor facilities and a poor experience? Pretty sure they'd rather spend their money elsewhere, and where does that leave us? With an even older stadium with even less supporters.

Well said and its not like its the first time we will have moved now is it and that is what has made us what we are now, our history ! Our ground is now out dated I cant even sit straight in a seat, due to being 6ft 4", the lack of leg room is ridiculous when you are paying #35 plus for tickets let alone #50 as I have this season ! Luckily against Arsenal I had a kid next to me, so was able to use some of his space but in other games the pain has been ridiculous (not just watching the R's playing).

I do get your point TW7, but we have been getting 13000 home fans for as long as i can remember , moving to a ground just under 3 times that amount , leaves us with a lot of seats to fill , and a fair amount of them will be going to people who as i said dont have the love for Rangers that we do . Fulham have filled their ground with newbies who dont understand what supporting aclub means to likes of us ( you can tell that by their p iss poor away support ) and tourists and we will have to do the same.
As for the clubs you mentioned ,Brighton are the only club listed ,where i know any of their fans ( so i cant comment on the rest ) and they will be the first to admit they do resent the new fans that have only come out of the woodwork since the Amex has been built.

I do see where your coming from, but I think we have potential to increase our fan base without using the same tactics as the fools. You don't have to attract tourists. Use the Schools and communities near by to attract future fans. Try and attract the guys that have stopped coming to come back.

I know a few Rs that simply won't pay the price for what they get in return.

How long would a new stadium take from now before open? 3 - 4 years? My idea would be make a point of getting to all the schools in the West London area. Give incentives for kids and parents to try and get them involved. If you targeted a specific age group, by the time the stadiums open you've got a whole new generation of fans at adult prices.

I'm not in marketing so that probably sounds a bit 5h1t, but there must be target groups we can look at without tourists?

Bang on our future is the youth we need to exploit the surroundings area Acton, Ealing (with new training Ground) Hammersmith, Grove, A40 corridor & Harlesden etc. We need to make QPR the choice of kids and the working class person (not exclusive) make it an affordable experience to keep them coming back
